What is so wrong about lightning dark elixir?

Its part of the game move up over 2k you won't get lightning up there... Raid weak bases they will revenge attack you the best they can if that is lightning on your storage so be it... Do you not remember being a lvl 7 trying to get your king.. Tell me with lvl 4 troops your going to raid my lvl 3 dual xbow near maxed th 9 of course not... Its a strategy and when it happens to you it sucks. Upgrade your storage to lvl 6 also minimizes the damage you take

That's the punishment for high level town halls farming in low trophy ranges.

Also let's think how much ♥♥♥♥en dark elixir WE are loosing weekly due to lighting spells . Oh that doesn't matter right ?

its a game deal with it smart ♥♥♥ and you should have know from the beginning when getting de that ♥♥♥♥ was gonna happen so stop whining like a 4 year old girl and suck it up and also if yoiur town hall 8 or up you shouldn't have problem replacing that de lost with drills or are you just acting to much like a ♥♥♥♥♥ to stop and think about it also we th7 and 8 will kick you in the balls take your money and run so deal with it

It's not the act itself which is worthy of praise but rather in the consequences of taking advantage of the superior work/reward relationship. It's akin to the idea about working smart, not hard.

How is lightning on DE smart...? You get under 1k in an hour... Compared to 4k-6k in an hour with a proper army.

Lightning DE storage is a legitimate use of this spell, exactly as how SC designed for it to be used.

To not use lightning just because a few users are crying and whining would be a dumb thing to do!

To use lightning intelligently, you should search for TH levels 2 or more above you, aim for 3000+ in available loot, and go after the drills, then deploy the lightning. This way, you will mostly be protected from revenge. And you do not sit around to wait for lightning spells to generate, you can keep raiding the next round with your regular troops with no down time. This is smart way to fully utilize all the tools at your disposable, and efficient supplement of DE gained from normal raiding. Look at it as an extra bonus of DE.

my point of view is stop crying about getting your de pikachu'd it's your fault for being at that range anyways....... we are basically farming them so they get a little back move on if you don't like getting your precious de stolen move up! in trophies ......no need for all this nonsense argueing and complaining

It is smart because you don't sit around and wait for the spells to generate!

So you can gain 4k with your regular troops + 1k from lightning!

And who cares?
I don't have the same emotional attachment of being 3 starred as you having your DE zapped!
I will lose very little resources because of loot penalty, and you probably would spend more than you gain in 3-starring me. So in effect, you would lose TWICE in the revenge! I am not sure who has the last laugh here.

I don't normally need to use rage spells for farming. Unfortunately, that's the compromise we have to make with only 3 spells available.

If I mostly go for Gold, I may keep 1x rage + 2x lightning in my arsenal.
If I have DE in mind, I would keep 3x lightning spells.

To be honest, I don't zap for DE that much any more, as I get plenty of DE in my normal raiding for Gold.
It's only when I come across a TH10 with tons of DE in the core that I would use lightning for it.
