I'm th8, and I only go after th10 because of the loot bonus/penalty.

I do not worry about their revenges because their attacks usually dont even cover their costs, and I find such attacks highly amusing.

With every lightning attack, I gain at least 1k de; the most th10 can get back is also 1k, and that assumes I havent used up my de and they are lucky to find me before all the townhall snipers.

1k DE... From lightning? How much are you aiming for? 4k+? Why can't you just attack that head on and take it all?

Oh come on, yes, there's respect to be found in being willing to achieve something through hard work and dedication, but don't deny the value in being able to intelligently bypass unnecessary work.

Seriously, if you are th10 (like me), you should belong to crystal I or master league for farming. I have had my dark maxed for 3 days with no chance of spending it that I have put my storage outside completely exposed. I can't even collect from drills regularly. And even if I raid someone with 0 DE, the league bonus would still make me profit DE-wise considering the army I use.
just go up in trophies where people don't give a damn about DE and only care about trophies. You can easily get 3-5k dark from battles using just a few minions.
Sure, people will bulldoze you with hogs and balloons but you can easily get back everything in a single raid if you know how to raid...

It's not the act itself which is worthy of praise but rather in the consequences of taking advantage of the superior work/reward relationship. It's akin to the idea about working smart, not hard.
