Completely agree.

This is a completely legitimate strategy.

I had an argument with clanmate who said that it was immoral.

However, it is within the rules of the game, and therefor moral.

Simple:

If you can live with it then carry on.
If you can't then move up in trophies.

A revenge isn't about getting back the equal resources that someone stole, it's about making a statement and pissing the person off. This is the perfect way to do it.

Lightning on DE is not strategy,
It's just an action that you can do legally,
For strategy requires some thinking,
Whereas this is just spamming lightning.

By the way, your post is 100% correct. The game is all about maximising profit and that strategy is the best.

To these people complaining - would it have been hard to raise your trophies for 1 month while the spell factory boost is on?

damn! i think i accidentally deleted my post.

anyways, basically.

I am a pretty maxed th8, also.

1. I B.A.M every abandoned base that I see.
2. I lightening very single base with more than 1k DE with 3 lightening every 20minutes or also (1gem spell boost)
3. I don't give shield to snipe your th because I don't want to waste troops+plus i don't want to waste time+i don't care about trophies+ i want to drop trophy+let other people to farm your DE also
4. I don't care if your revenge me because u can only get 200k each from me even if u 3star me and i get that amount using B.A.M per raid+ plus i don't care about trophies

Thats 1.2k DE an hour.. If you went for 2k with a heavy army you can get 4k an hour.

1. heavy army takes longer and cost more to train
2. i don't need THAT much de (won't have enough builder and lab time)
3. i can earn gold and elix much faster with b.a.m
4. i don't need to waste time searching for villages (if i see active DE base, i light it, if i see abandoned collect base i bam it, simple.

think about it. even IF u were able to farm 4k de per hour. how much time and cost to train those armies? is it worth it? do u need that much?

i do it because i don't need THAT much, in the past several gem boost days i made more than 50,000 just lightening, no work involved and also made enough to level my heros. my lab is busy doing something else

Ur advantage is only during this update where spell boost is 1 gem for 12hrs. After that u will need to spend more gems to boost at this rate. So make full use of this update while u can, and remember to store more gold to make lightnings.

but have been doing it non-stop during this update

but i don't see a big difference, it doesn't cost more to make, it is just faster, so u make DE at faster intervals.

the spell boost is so fast that i don't even have time to keep using it
