Exactly. You will re-engineer those bases to the standard of a maxer / rusher currently, because IF the matchmaker favoured that path, then you will still have an 'advantage', only it will be minimal which is good for the game.

Yep, the advantage would be less and also the upgrade path would be consistent for war and multiplayer. Until that happens, though, I see no reason to build defenses that I think are a war disadvantage on my accounts (other than my main, which is maxed).

True, defense couldn't be negated completely. The next option would be to match town hall with town hall.

Amazed that all here believe that we have an influence in MM. Or that it's actually changing. All that was said was being more transparent....which is just saying, yep this is the way it is.

"Upcoming changes" implies that a change is coming.

On the contrary, I've got some news regarding this coming up pretty soon. Just waiting for some final tidbits of information and I'll post a sticky on it in the next few days.

Well this was posted in May 2017....what has been done? Nothing! We have just lost ANOTHER war by 1 star.....because our top base was TH9. The enemy had 2 TH11's and 1 TH10 armies. WE DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE. Our maxed TH9 could not defend against a TH11 and a TH10 army.

So although we were the better attackers (because we were attacking bases at our own level) we lose to a clan that can only bully lower bases. And in someone's world, this makes sense!!!! This game used to be SO good. But now it is just one frustration after another. The fun has gone, and there is really no point in trying to war any more, unless we stoop to the low level of the engineers. More and more of my clan members are opting out of war, and my clan is dieing.

Supercell.....give us some hope please? Can't you run two matching systems? those that want to engineer and those that dont? Otherwise I will just have to go find another game. Any recommendations anyone?
