Started playing HD since Aug, I never realise that there is a raiding issue and is causing some players to get so upset over it... I thought that whatever items put up in RSS are for sale to anyone who WANT them. I like selling stuff and buying stuff, either for myself or to help my neighbours. I used to grumble abt DD always being filled with only B&E, carrots, wheats, eggs, etc. Until lately, I started to appreciate these sellers when some of my boats required dozens and dozens of B&E. wheats and eggs. Without this sellers, I wouldn't be able to fill up my crates at ease! ! So, we shouldn't complain about what others sell in their RSS simply becos we do not need them. Bear in mind that, there are others who need those common items elsewhere... Pardon me saying so, but whenever I see a farm name with "xxx is being greedy", I find it rather mean. After reading this thread, I just spent a couple of minutes deleting neighbours who are bothered with raiding issue. I never want to feel stressed when shopping at any RSS, and upset my neighbours unknowingly if I raid up their RSS becos of my NEEDS. I just feel that we do not need to understand HOW and WHY others play a game. If your neighbour does not comply to your 'rules', simply delete them, and move on. There are still many other nice neighbours around. HD is just a game and we should only feel HAPPY when playing it. :>

    Hi again fellow hay dayers.

I did it again...exhibited behaviors of a "raider."

Got a boat asking for corn bread but did not feel like making them since I wanted to fill my boat fast (my previous boat left overnight so I did not have the four hrs to prep).

Well, I went to my neighbors' shop and luckily found one with 5 stalls with corn bread. Yep, I bought them all. Now I have a second neighbor who may think I am a "raider." :-/

There is a big difference in need and greed. For me I want to help those on my friends list. I am glad to help, but someone buying 20 of the 30 items I have for sale is beyond need.. I can not explain it further, I do not know how to...

Is there a difference for you though between normal easy to obtain and premium products?

For the last "little people-double coins" event I bought quite a few b&e, so that would be on top of my barn list so they would ask for that. Had I made all the b&e myself, the event would have been over. Other then that event I don't raid and hoard and sell expansions and premium stuff a lot myself. I will buy a premium thing here and there if I see it but only if I know my next boat will ask for it or if any of my neighbors has flagged a crate which asks for it.

What is his stupid sense of loyalty to our Hay Day "friends". They are not your "friends" people!! They are strangers that happen to play the same game that at some point added your name to their Game Center app. Why do some people get all warm and fuzzy about the people on their friends list acting like they have this personal relationship with them and need to accommodate and please them?! I help out as many or more people that I run across in the newspaper than I help out on my friends list. And what about your comment "take what you need". What if I need it all!!! I am constantly filling my boat, seeing things that someone on my "friends" list needed for their boat, looking for expansion items or good things to trade for expansion items so I just may need more than 4 or 5 items. Jeeeeez!!!! You people have me so stressed out when I find items that I need that I am afraid to buy them, afraid that I may break some obscure "rule" that someone made up in their head. Or, heaven forbid, I get labeled greedy!!! Get over it already! It's a game. And the point of the game is to buy and sell, make money, expand and level up and mostly to have fun!!! Everybody has a different strategy about achieving this. LIGHTEN UP!!! If you want to sell it, put it in your store. If you don't, keep it in your barn. If you want someone specific to have it then arrange a trade. If you don't like someone buying from your PUBLIC store then delete them but for God's sake, stop complaining about this. It is getting so old and more and more ridiculous sounding each day. (This is addressed to everyone who whines about this constantly, not anyone in particular)
    Totally agree!!

I find it interesting that players even pay attention to whose buying in their shops. When my stuff is sold, I don't take the time to count who bought what and how many. I just grab the coins and continue playing.

Same, I put my stuff out to be bought. So if you want to come and buy all my stuff I won't mind, thats what it's there for

But the only reason is known that I "needed" them is because I made it known here in this thread. My neighbors may not read this forum and since I did not leave them a message telling them why I bought them they may think I am "greedy" based on how is has been defined in this thread.

There are many, many, many different circumstances that at some point a player may need more than 5 items at a time but the reasons are unknown.

BTW, I came back to the thread to post my third game play as a "raider" (twice within an hr...***shaking head***...I am a certifiable "raider").

My brother in law still needs LEMs for land and fishing areas. I just saw a neighbor's stall with all three items and I bought them to give them to him. I am sure my neighbor does not know about my brother in law so now a THIRD neighbor may think I am a "raider," specially because all my land and fishing areas are expanded.

And this is not the first time, I have done it several times to pass them to him and my sister (sometimes from the same neighbors). My sister is good now, but I will keep on doing to help him.

At first I assumed they were doing so to try to keep random players and followers from cleaning out the items meant for their friends, but then a few of them started changing thier farm names to things like "X unfriended, who's next".

I'm not one to wipe out anyone's shop anyway, but I've started avoiding some of my neighbors shops who have messages about raiding or being greedy because I'm have no idea what that person's definition of "raiding" or "greedy" is and I would rather not be unfriended as I rather like all my neighbors.

I almost never advertise in the DD and try to keep my shop fairly well stocked with a variety of items (crops, jewelry, cakes, etc.) for my neighbors, but I don't pay much attention to who buys what or how much they buy. The only thing that sucks about it when one person buys everything is then I have to restock my shop again because I hate to leave it empty. Other than that I could care less, so #buymyvirtualfood.
I am the one thats doing what shell's saying with the farm name thing.

I can tell you I have experienced all sorts of "raiding" ever since i started selling only premiums and expansions items. And because I keep track of what I sell and who i sell too, you can know who is actually hogging your items and being "greedy". I would have put it more in a pleasant way on my farm name but there's alphabet limit so just have to be direct.

I understand how hard it is to find stuff, through DD, through your neighbours, especially if you get alot of neighbours that only sells wheat, b&e, roasted tomatoes and berry cakes, you get the idea... GRUNT ITEMS that i can open up DD anytime to buy. So, I try to help my neighbours so they wont have that much difficulty like i had experienced by selling premiums.

I dont care if all my neighbours did are flagging their dairy and sugar. I look at it and I'll be like good luck with that.. NEXT. I have the help tab open all the time in game and if there's crates thats other than dairy/sugar, if i have it, i will fill it, even if its my last jam.

What I actually care about then? Letting all these people that are my neighbours fair chance of getting items when they NEED, instead of me just "servicing" a few that stalks my stand and if i have a choice of not using that stand I would.

I had neighbours that camped my stand, the moment i put items up, its snapped up. I have neighbours that just pick the good stuff, i even put grunt items at default prices. nope just pick at the good stuff. I had neighbours that just raid me and go, SEE THAT TREE WITH THE ! RIGHT BESIDE THE STAND? nope. CBF is what they are telling me. But its okay, there be others that will actually click that tree.

I had neighbours that are fully expanded both land and fishing, and come buy my LEM thats meant for others that needs them. (And i do get requests on KIK from players asking me to help them with expansions items. They know i am selling it, but they can never get it.) So, the excuse would be what? This fully expanded player buys it for his/her friends/neighbours? what makes your neighbours > mine? So you get to help your neighbours but i have to bear with it? i dont think that is fair.

I didnt put the items out there to get coins. if i want coins i'll wheat. if i want to get raided, i will advertise in DD. All i am asking from the neighbours are consideration for other players. You arent the only person that need those same cakes i put out all the time. And some can say, "if you want to help just fill their boats". what if its stuff for the truck orders? they really want to fill that truck order but just couldnt find that vanilla ice cream just cause someone that dont need it at that moment buys it anyway?

I tried to tolerate and understand, because yes its true, who knows who need what is what for? I help without discrimination. Even if all that neighbour did was flag alot of dairy and sugar, sell grunt items or never sell a single thing (at least every time i passed by theres nothing) or never even helped me do anything (that is relative to alot of things, time difference, whatnot) . I changed my farm name with msges HOPING they will see the stand name and be considerate. just buy what they need and go. if you actually need that 2 jams and not that other 5 popsicles. just buy the 2 jams. why make it so hard?

The past 2 days i am beyond that toleration limits, call it pms or w/e, but it really gets on my goat to see thoughtless buying. Buying just cause you can and buying when you need are different. And because people dont respect my way of playing this game, i delete cause like some of the other players have said, "hey theres always more to befriended".

It has got to the point where i dont find joy in putting up the items because i dont think i am helping, i feel like i am just a produce mule to a selected few. I had to change to slightly more extreme farm name because when i phrased it nicely, nobody pay attention. But the moment you are harsh with it, people actually start buying with care. Why does it have to be that way? Why must I threaten to get cooperation? We are all adults, at least, i assume most of us are. Can't we not just use our consideration and applied it to even a game, a SOCIAL game?

In the end, if you want to raid, go ahead just dont raid mine. If you want to be my neighbour, i appreciate it if you would respect the way i wish to play my game and I would turn a blind eye if you buy off 7-8 slots out of my 17 on occasions. If you dont like it, dont be my neighbours, cause hey, if i dont like it, i wouldnt want to be your neighbour either. But no hard feelings. i am not hating anyone just cause i deleted them it is just a matter of game style.

So, thats my tl;dr 2cents. I dont care if i get flamed after this, or you want to hate on me or whatever. This is my honesty. I am still happy and always willing to help my neighbours. I made bulk of my neighbours from this forum. So, NEED STUFF? if you got kik, catch me there, if not pm me, i will reply.

    cheers and bye.

    I am currently level 51.
I dislike my store getting raided. accepting friendships but t&c applies.
t&c: NO RAIDING. be considerate of others. only buy what you NEED. DONT CAMP MY RSS
Thank you for your understanding. Sharing is caring. There are other players needing things too.
