I've only been playing Hay Day since August, so I wasn't even aware this was an issue until fairly recently when I noticed quite a few of my neighbors changing the name of their farms/RSS to "don't be greedy" or "raid my stand=delete". At first I assumed they were doing so to try to keep random players and followers from cleaning out the items meant for their friends, but then a few of them started changing thier farm names to things like "X unfriended, who's next".
I'm not one to wipe out anyone's shop anyway, but I've started avoiding some of my neighbors shops who have messages about raiding or being greedy because I'm have no idea what that person's definition of "raiding" or "greedy" is and I would rather not be unfriended as I rather like all my neighbors.
I almost never advertise in the DD and try to keep my shop fairly well stocked with a variety of items (crops, jewelry, cakes, etc.) for my neighbors, but I don't pay much attention to who buys what or how much they buy. The only thing that sucks about it when one person buys everything is then I have to restock my shop again because I hate to leave it empty. Other than that I could care less, so #buymyvirtualfood.

i think 4 maybe 5 items ok sometimes but when people come and clean out 6, 7, or more. 4 or 5 items ok, 6 or 7 items not ok. That is the rule that you made up in your head and we are all supposed to know this. Ridiculous!! What is his stupid sense of loyalty to our Hay Day "friends". They are not your "friends" people!! They are strangers that happen to play the same game that at some point added your name to their Game Center app. Why do some people get all warm and fuzzy about the people on their friends list acting like they have this personal relationship with them and need to accommodate and please them?! I help out as many or more people that I run across in the newspaper than I help out on my friends list. And what about your comment "take what you need". What if I need it all!!! I am constantly filling my boat, seeing things that someone on my "friends" list needed for their boat, looking for expansion items or good things to trade for expansion items so I just may need more than 4 or 5 items. Jeeeeez!!!! You people have me so stressed out when I find items that I need that I am afraid to buy them, afraid that I may break some obscure "rule" that someone made up in their head. Or, heaven forbid, I get labeled greedy!!! Get over it already! It's a game. And the point of the game is to buy and sell, make money, expand and level up and mostly to have fun!!! Everybody has a different strategy about achieving this. LIGHTEN UP!!! If you want to sell it, put it in your store. If you don't, keep it in your barn. If you want someone specific to have it then arrange a trade. If you don't like someone buying from your PUBLIC store then delete them but for God's sake, stop complaining about this. It is getting so old and more and more ridiculous sounding each day. (This is addressed to everyone who whines about this constantly, not anyone in particular)

I've been playing for almost a year but I am only level 38 as I have taken some long breaks from Hayday due to my app crashing
But
I don't care if someone raid my shop. My farm is 100% first come first serve and I prefer it that way. I only have 20 rss slots and under 350 for each barn and silo. I sell stuff quite often and fill my entire shop. I sell sugars ice cream Popsicles cakes jam and juices. I do this cuz I tend to make the same items for mastery and I have no room. I don't care who buys it. If they buy one stack of juice or if they buy all the juice jam creams and sugars. Doesn't matter to me. I don't use the ad for the first 5-10 minutes. If no one swoops in I use an ad and it's open season.
I also sell a lot of cheap wheat because I need expansion items badly.
I'm not a greedy buyer however. A friend of mine always sells stacks and stacks of premium items and I visit there often to pick out 2-3 things every day. They have every mastery and I think at this point they are just hoarding coins besides using what they want for boats. They sell stuff a lot so I can't imagine they need it anyway. Sometimes I will buy a few things and really want more but I will leave it for a few hours. I return and no one has bought it yet so I buy it? This looks to the person like I bought everything at once but IMO leaving for 8 hours and having it still be there is fair game again. Because if I had that many items I was trying to move I would want the space.
TLDR; I don't care if people raid me. I don't raid others IMO but I do buy what I need to make my premium items or expand my things.

I've only unfriended one person and it was because of their paranoia over being raided. I don't buy more than three items so as not to offend anyone, but it sometimes feels like people are inventing new things to be offended by. I fully support deleting whomever you want for whatever reason you'd like; it's your game, and if something is ruining your fun then by all means remove it.
But maybe we don't need a thread about it every time?

Wow! I see some neighbours above... a BIG Hi!!I find this thread rather interesting.... Started playing HD since Aug, I never realise that there is a raiding issue and is causing some players to get so upset over it... I thought that whatever items put up in RSS are for sale to anyone who WANT them. I like selling stuff and buying stuff, either for myself or to help my neighbours. I used to grumble abt DD always being filled with only B&E, carrots, wheats, eggs, etc. Until lately, I started to appreciate these sellers when some of my boats required dozens and dozens of B&E. wheats and eggs. Without this sellers, I wouldn't be able to fill up my crates at ease! ! So, we shouldn't complain about what others sell in their RSS simply becos we do not need them. Bear in mind that, there are others who need those common items elsewhere... Pardon me saying so, but whenever I see a farm name with "xxx is being greedy", I find it rather mean. After reading this thread, I just spent a couple of minutes deleting neighbours who are bothered with raiding issue. I never want to feel stressed when shopping at any RSS, and upset my neighbours unknowingly if I raid up their RSS becos of my NEEDS. I just feel that we do not need to understand HOW and WHY others play a game. If your neighbour does not comply to your 'rules', simply delete them, and move on. There are still many other nice neighbours around. HD is just a game and we should only feel HAPPY when playing it. :>
