I am on IOS and don't know anyone with Android so I can't compare UI. Is it now the same across platforms? Or are Android's buttons and chat now bigger than on IOS?
Another question is, why mess with UI at all? Any time UI changes you are going to have upheaval. Was now really a good time to implement a change like this?
I may be in the minority here, but I like the loons better with the re-target pause.
After the change that took it away I just couldn't make loons work any more, failing raids that should have been easy because my loons just wouldn't go were I wanted them to. I tried changing my comp and/or my deployment but couldn't get anywhere near the same results with those loons.
Yesterday I tried the new (old) loons and I am suddenly able to do well again! Haven't tried them in a war setting but the early results from my farming raids was much better then before the update.

I get the point of not having a different UI on each model like it was in the past, but what looks good on a 5" phone can be really awful on a 10" tablet. On my 5.7" I think buttons are OK for me, but on my tablet it is too big, butthis is only my opinion.
The big issue is not the UI, but the number of troop icons when attacking. At th11 there is no time to scroll and even the 14 buttons I had in the past are limiting my attacking capabilities very much. Now with 13 buttons it is even worse. I cant scroll all the time in a laloon attack between loons and haste. To be honest this is the biggest limiting factor for my 3 star strategies at th11, not balancing but lack of troop icons.
For lower town halls just that you get an idea:
3 heroes
rage + jump + freeze + poison
cc + cc spell
So I only can attack with 4 different troops. If I take my only freeze spell in the cc and accept having to scroll for the poison I can take 6 different troops, but if I have to scroll for the rage the attack is basically over.
So my suggestion is: Adjust the size of the buttons when they dont fit on 1 page.
I guess we'll agree to disagree then. I can think of several things that were not disclosed: 1. the UI catastrophe, 2. the 6 gem tree fix, 3. defensive CC pull order.
And then there is always a thread on every release, which attempts to crowd-source all the non-disclosed changes.
Bring back the previous resolution.. the UI and everything else on the new update looks like its gonna pop out off my screen im using a samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 but resolution now looks like its for smaller screens.. other than that everything else is wonderful despite the new upgrades heading my way... thanks and more updates

Clocl tower boost timing and multiplier habe been reduced?? the clock tower allowed me to get 5-6 attacks in during a quick break. Now I only get 2 if I'm lucky, depending on how long attacks last. Really this is probably the worst idea supercell has had. The update says "too much FREE upgrade time" wow. Like supercell doesn't get enough revenue as the worldwide leader in mobile game revenue. Wow. I'm seriously mad. This is stupid. Anything and everything to try to get people to buy more gems. It already costs a ridiculous amount of gems to get loot extra times. this "little change" is ending that. It's too much of a show of bad character by the developers.
