How many trees/bushes did your neigbours hug?

I was talking about the top contributors. 81k+ is a lot of trees even for dedicated players. That's 1687 waterings per hours, or 28 per minute. Assuming they play 16 hours a day.

I didn't do a count. But I do have lots of trees/bushes. If anyone has seen my farm. They are not exactly wall to wall but def stuck in any free space. I don't do flow charts. I was just making a general observation that there are dedicated players that don't nessasarily spend diamonds to play. My opinion.

We hit the half way mark, and we were not half way there....

But I'll keep chugging along! I set out many flags this morning (in bunches, so different farmers could all get a chance at them!) and my personal count is up over 600 now.

I do not have the data, so I am just guessing. I think the miscalculation is due to the massive number of new players, and a problem I see from many low level players that they do not get enough saws/ axes, so they cannot really be repalnting or contributing with many trees or bushes. If you calculate the goal based on having x players, but some 20% of those players are unable to contribute much wood, we might get the problem that we have now. It would be worse if many old timers like some on this thread were not exhausting considerable stocks of tools and using vouchers.
I was lucky to finish my goal on the first day, but even on that first day, there were people, here in the forum, that were giving up after getting to 2 nd goal. Since then I have been contacting whomever I can among friends to provide them with trees.
for what is worth, I think we will reach the goal, but barely.

Maybe so they won't get complaints? Because boat crates are what's counted on the helps, not the items in the crate.

That is, if we need 5 strawberries in a crate, it will only be counted as 1, because its 1 crate. But some people might think it should count as 5, because its 5 strawberries?

I wasn't suggesting that we should do that! Just replying to Raelet, and stating that spending diamonds is possible during this event.

I didn't think you were. I was simply commenting that I wouldn't do that, I think it's nuts.

I should clarify -- there is no "simple" way to spend diamonds in this event. You can't hire Tom to get ahead, you can't call boats to get ahead, etc.

Speeding up trees is cumbersome, a few trees may be easy. But a whole "forest"?? That is a cumbersome task. Ain't nobody got time for that!

I doubt they're wearing their fingers out. I'm sure they've worked out some automated way if doing it. Still, I'm not complaining! Without them we'd be scr3wed.

I'm up to 128 now I believe. Always checking the DD and my friends list! I was considering stopping at 95 to give others a chance, but that was only because I thought this event was gonna be easy.

I've taken it easy watering today to give others a chance to get their personal goals. Nothing is staying on my friends list long at all, so I wouldn't be helping by watering.

On this note, my experimental baby farm was included for this event, which is kind of useless. Normally not eligible.

i don't get my first tree until next level

if I were a genuine newbie, I would not know about helping other farms

if I even tried to look through the DD, I would not stand a chance

i don't know what level would be considered actively contributing... Certainly not level 13 and lower
