Has your Sanctuary Animal rewarded you yet?

Just got a saw from my muddy elephant.

I just received a mallet from mine. "Click/treat: good elephant feeder!"

What are you (and others) doing in order to receive the reward? Is it like pets: you get it after tapping/whistling while they're takin their post-feed nap? Or something different? Does the reward fly into the air like it does with pets? Or does it just pop into existence like the drops from townies after they have viewed the animals?

Just trying to figure out if maybe I'm doing the right things. Or if maybe one of the tools piled up at the bookstand is from my hippo instead of townie.

I am being optimistic, standing by ready to screenshot a drop... Not happening for me

I just got a saw! Dropped right out of my sad giraffe upon waking her, just like with the pets. Amazing!

I was a good 12 hours behind with Internet down time and I only feed once per day because of town visitors, so I guess it takes x number of feeds and it will take a little longer for me... I would guess 12 feeds?
