One of my clan mates is a town hall 11, and can hold 35 troops and 2 spell space, but when he requests it is coming as him only having 1 spell space?

Are you sure he is th10? If so, th10 clan castle only holds 30 space and 1 spell. You get 35/2 when you go to th11 and upgrade the clan castle.

A level 7 cc can hold 35 troop slot and 2 spell slot.
