You're right! I didn't think of that! The tail looks more like an elephants to me though. I guess we'll find out! 😄

I wonder what the animals are going to cost us though ? - Will it be coins, vouchers or diamonds? And are the enclosures going to cost us TEM's - so excited - bring on the first sneak peak please

I was wondering the same thing! Wouldn't be surprised if its a combination of everything (coins, diamonds, vouchers).

My post from another thread, made BEFORE the release of the sneak peek:

If the test is: can the game be played without this animal, then an Animal Sanctuary presumably would not impact the fundamental operations of the game (using crop and animal products to make stuff to do Boat/truck/town orders). You can play hay day and ignore the Animal Sanctuary, in the same way as y can play hay day and ignore the town, the mine, the boat dock, and the truck board.

The animals in the sanctuary could be analogized to the pets we already have + the town. Therefore, I would expect the AS to operate the same way: animals consume farm products and give EMs, with different types of animals available at different levels. Visitors come to the AS from the town on a separate train, so I would also expect opportunities to upgrade the sanctuary train to bring in more visitors, and service buildings to accommodate their orders, which would give AS Points and EMs to upgrade the sanctuary.

All I can say is, I hope the AS will need MAPS (but I bet it won't). Again: I could ensure that the AS would utilize maps by selling off my map hoard, but I'm not going to do that, so this means we will all need a new kind of EM to expand the sanctuary. LOL and you're welcome

These are just my thoughts - I have no extra or inside information.
More thoughts on this post after the sneak peek:

I see a townie at the entrance to the sanctuary (I'm going to have a rule in my sanctuary not to bring your throwing wrenches or swooshy umbrellas in) so it looks to me like the AS is a major feature, like the town was years ago. To my mind, that might mean:

*AS Levels requiring animal action points to achieve each level, so that it will take a long time to upgrade and fully expand

*New EMs most likely coupled with deeds, mallets and markers to expand the sanctuary area

*A new train/tram to be built and expanded like the Eggspress and personal trains (hopefully also needing metal bars)

*Animals to purchase (I still think with vouchers) that will come available at the different levels

*Some kind of service building(s) for the AS visitors

*Some kind of building (amphitheater?) to expand to hold a max number of visitors (like the town hall)

*New decos to use in the AS

It does look more like an elephant's tail than a hippos. However, if you want to see hippo videos that will totally overload your "cute" meter, visit Fiona the baby hippo at the Cincinnati Zoo.

I like the idea of puzzle pieces! Hopefully finding them won't be as hard as finding permits.

I want the puzzle pieces to be given by visitors on fulfilling all their request like other town tools. That will surely bring back the game to town which many players are ignoring. The town treasure chest will also give the puzzle pieces.
