I went through the list of traps proposed in the sticky, and didnt see one that seems obvious for me : a Mind Control Trap.
As it says simply, when enemy troops trigger it, a gas in snake shape is spread in a small area, and troops caught in the area of effect change side and fight for defending the base !
There could be a counter on the trap, for example 50, and each troop affected by the gas reduces the counter until it gets to zero, then the gas disappears. It wont have anymore effect on other troops. Each troop type reduces the counter a certain number, it could be 5 for barbs, archers and gobs, 10 or more for giants, 50 for dragons, etc. Up to you to decide of those values !
