Is it just me, or is it just not that fun? I'm trying to get into the little mini battles but it's like being stuck at a low level th with slower progress. I think the loot cap is dumb. Already whacked down all my trees for gems, thinking about whacking down the barb head statue. I wish I could get that Archer Queen statue at my main base. Anyways, thanks for reading.
Yep, I think it is boring too. I hate the walls. The troop combo is goofy. You would have thought they would have learned something about matchups but no, this is worse than ever.

If you can afford to whack down all of the obstacles, to include the old barb head, then you should have enough resources to upgrade something helpful. If you're throwing away resources needlessly clearing obstacles, then it's very much your fault that you're stuck at a low level.
Not to say I think the BB is perfect. There are things I'm hoping to see changed in the near future, the loot system being at the top of the list

I have 2 accounts. Agreed that the rushing one is fun since you get to unlock new stuff constantly.
The lower one is taking the maxing route and honestly is getting boring at this point.
I'm having Fun with the builder base..
Since resources are very limited, perhaps use them at something to progress your village, instead of throwing them away at clearing obstacles?
Maybe this is why your progress is slower?
But i understand why you are not having fun, PvP with loot cap system is not for everyone.
Likewise. I've finally decided to take BH to level 4 but honestly, I don't think that will do anything to pique my interest. I almost feel BB is more of a grind than my home village.
If you're done with it then def keep playing for the free gems. I'm not talking the gem mine either, although that is definitely a plus.
On average you get 6.3 free gems a day from clearing obstacles (sometimes as low as 1, other times as high as 15). That number doubles if you keep your BH base active.
The number if gems you get from obstacles is a fixed sequence, this is how SC actually controls the free gems players get. Your gem boxes and gem mines are nothing compared to clearing obstacles.
