    Some trial clan reviews

    0507se

    My Gladius Journey
A few months back, there was a Family Feud between Gladius and Ludus; by unforeseen consequences, they faced each other on the bloody battle ground: Clan War!!
The attacks that were launched on Ludus were beyond my comprehension. They were very systematic to break down the maxed Town Hall 9 bases nested in Lego and Lava…and destruction followed its wake.
However, when you walk through Gladius door, there is no smell of carcass or gloat. The clan is filled with quick laughs, wits, and wealth of knowledge. From leadership to member and trialists are on with a common goal, they are here to learn and make progress.
This was my third and final journey into Centum Trial Clans. The trials are well built to enforce good farming habits and develop awesome war tactics. After few days, the incomprehensible attacks that I witness a long time ago do not seem so foreign anymore because they lead by example.
As much as I can attest to great leadership and the efforts gone into making and running War Trial Clan, what impress me the most are the clan mates who make up the clan. They are what make the Centum so great. Eddie, Hammer, Kal, Marv, Gerrie, Tim, Ropo, FM, Pete, BP, Terri, Bob, Erin, Gummy, Andrew, on and on… I would like to thank them for making this journey unforgettable.
It wasn’t just about how to war at advanced level, it was about making friends and having fun while sharing the things we like, namely Clashing
Take on faith and step through Gladius door. You will be surprised why you have waited so long!

    Centum Ludus
Wow is all I can say. This clan has given me many important farming skills which I desperately needed. This clan pushes the limits to your farming skills, and over the past week only, I've farmed over 16 million gold! As well as this, Ludus provides me/the whole clan with etiquette level troops and my clan castle was quickly filled.
    Thank you Ludus.
    -Grant.

    Arena
Wow, it's hard to believe that I've been in centum less than 3 months, it must be because things are so right all previous clashing is a very distant memory. Great things about Arena (and centum generally) include really nice and fun people, cc request filled almost instantly with best possible troops, advice and experience, proper communication, but my absolute favorite thing is the lack of childish drama. Everybody is here to have fun and act like it.
If not for Centum I would have quit CoC ages back.
Truly, Thank you guys for having me.

I had always considered myself a pretty good farmer prior to joining Centum Ludus. That perception quickly changed however, once I began the trials. The trials push farmers to their limits and force you to expand your farming strategies to include multiple farming techniques. I had previously never thought it was possible to farm 1.25 million gold in an hour without boosting – let alone the clan record of 3.44 million! I have been playing clash for about a year now and for the first time I actually had to stop raiding because my storages were full! This has truly been a terrific learning experience and will only continue to help. As for the actual clan itself, it is amazing. The clan has such a great atmosphere. Whether it be the leader, CO’s, elders, or just members, everyone is there to help. Your troop requests are filled within the minute and with exactly what you asked for (often times maxed as well thanks to the clan being lvl5).
Thank you for the chance to complete these Trials!

    Paradox

I remember watching a Youtube video of the Centum member Dart, who on the video, gave some pointers and advice on how to properly execute a penta lavaloon war attack. I really enjoyed the content of the video but there was another thing besides the attack strategy that was highlighted and that was the clan he was in, which was Centum Testudos I believe. Shortly after the video I decided to check out this clan and it turned out to be a family of clans, and that's when I decided I'd apply for Centum Ludus. I got accepted roughly a week after my application and that is when the challenges started. I was briefly introduced to the clan by Redirkulous, who btw has been to great help (big shoutout!). I didn't really read the forums thread at all because I was so eager to join the clan, so you can imagine the surprise when I was told I had to complete a few challenges.
I started right away and in just 1 day I had finished 6/10 challenges, seemed pretty damn easy, nothing special really. When I then went on to complete the remaining challenges, things didn't go as easy. It took me around 1 day to complete each of the 3 challenges I had left. I'd say that challenge #L3 was the hardest one to execute as I failed 2 times, but overall I really enjoyed doing these challenges as they really tested my farming skills and helped me use my troops in a more efficient way than I'd usually do.
In addition to this review I'd like to thanks all of the Ludus members who helped me out along the way, they have been really kind and understanding, I'm really looking forward to continuing this journey and hopefully become one of the Centum family, cheers guys!

    The Cooon

So i came to Centum Gladius after my previous clan lost a war to them. The clan i was in before this was good but they didn't have the support i was looking for. When i was accepted to Gladius i was told that i would have to go through a trail period where i would be subjected to different task over the first 10 days of membership.
To be honest at first i was very skeptical but when i dove into the trails they were very fun and a great learning experience, the trial challenge you to polish both your war and farming skills. The clan itself was the most helpful and kind clan i have been in to date. Leaders and elders are always there to help, whether it was breaking down a war attack or just basic questions they were always kind and generous.
If you are looking to expand you COC playing experience look no further then the Centum group of clans. It takes clash of clans to a whole new level of fun and challenge. It re-sparked my interest in the game and i look forward to being part of the family. Thanks you Centum Gladius you rock my world. WHOO WHOO! CLASH ON BRETHREN!

    Centum Gladius
I cometh from a land far, far away in search of the knowledge of mastery. For a perceived eternity battles was fought, some won, and some lost, in the search of perfection, yet, the taunting thought of imminent failure kept on haunting me. And hence the search for supremacy began.
Upon reaching the outer periphery of the territory of centum there was a silent murmur under the population, of fear and respect. After spending myriad a ’months going to every tavern, benevolent and protective order of elks, gladiatory coliseums and festivals, I met the acquaintance of a legendary warrior, sharing the secret of access to the forbidden land. The holy grail of sodality!!
It took courage, skill, bravery, victory and defeat, suffuse of emotions and lucid persistence to reach the inner walls of the realm. The journey was tardy, gut-wrenching and onerous, but yet, the ideation of becoming a burgess of this great realm and sharing in their accomplishments, made the journey a noble crusade.
So the reverie for greatness begins and I bow down to the generosity of the heralds excepting me as a warrior of this great realm!!
But on a more serious note. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I have already gained a lot of additional skills and really enjoy how professional everyone is. The atmosphere amongst the members is great and the willingness to assist is absolutely unmatched by previous experiences.
I hope to become a prominent member of this family. The whole experience thus far made me realise how enjoyable this game really can be.
The trials I found to be tough, but reasonable. It helps one to get a different perspective of doing things. Raid strategies and of course war strategies. I very much appreciate the practice wars where one get to really experiment with the attacks which you only hear of, but cannot try because you do not have war experience in those attacks. So all and all, very enlightening experience.
Thank you everyone for assisting through this process. It would be very difficult without the support and inspiration which was given throughout the trials.

I have been playing Clash of Clans for over two years (back when golems, witches, inferno towers, & Clan War did not exist), & for nearly all of that time, my townhall has been outside my walls. For that, I called myself a farmer. But two years of playing, but my Gold Grab is just now about to break 300 million?! A farmer, apparently I was not.
I had been interested in joining Centum Ludus since last Fall, when I stumbled upon their forum thread, but at the time I was in a new clan with some real-life friends & wanted to help get that established before allowing myself to explore here. But the Centum-desire was always in the back of my mind. Finally, the time had come. I had outgrown my clan, so I reapplied to Centum Ludus. It has been almost a week since I joined, & oh, what a fun time it has been! Going into it, I was a little nervous about the trials. Would I be able to balance work, home life, & task of completing the trials in one week? Well, the answer is yes! I personally didn’t ask very many questions (because the webpages & communication tools were so organized & helpful, I didn’t need to ask much), but I had participated in many conversations that inevitably aided me with the trials. Everyone here is friendly & helpful. There is not a foul attitude to be found! If you have read the 1st page of this thread, & have wondered if this is the real deal, I will tell you YES. You can believe what you have read!!
Thanks to all of the co-leaders, elders, members, & trialists who have shared their time & knowledge with me. I look forward to continuing my journey in this family of clans. The only problem is…how do I go about breaking the bad news to my old clan that I won’t be coming back to them?

I started playing coc years ago with the though ... hey this game is easy kill some time lol little did I know it takes work hehe the trials really helped me sharpen my skills and kept me on my toes ...not to mention the many new war attacks I've learned through it all and the awesome people too help guide me through .... thanks guys

    Suicidal1

I thought I knew about farming, but the trials definitely proved me wrong there. Prior to joining Ludus I was primarily a BARCH-er, I would spend my time nexting looking for forgotten bases with loaded collectors. I'd find decent loot but it would take forever and I'd use a lot of troops.
The trials taught me how to get the maximum loot I can get using the least amount of troops possible, how to get loot quickly and efficiently, how to use different troop compositions, and more importantly they are fun. I couldn't wait to get on to try to knock out the next trial.
The trials are really enjoyable themselves, but it's the members of Ludus and the atmosphere here that make me glad that I applied and waited for my spot to come up. From the moment I joined I felt like I've always been here, never once was I made to feel like a newbie. Any questions I had were answered and any help I needed was given, everyone is really easy to get along with. Donations are filled so fast that it's tough to see who donated everything to you, and all high level troops. I'm looking forward to moving up and completing more trials in the other Centum clans, but it's going to be tough to leave these guys behind.
If you're looking for friendly clan that can help you learn different ways to play this game, you need to apply with Centum Ludus.

some more reviews of our trial clans!

    Akir

    Centum Ludus
It's been an amazing first week with the Centum Group, in many ways. Some of the things I was expected to accomplish seemed too extraordinary at first glance. It soon became clear that the only extraordinary things in the Centum Group are the members. Before I joined the clan I felt like the challenges were placed there by the clan to see if I was good enough to stay. It quickly took on a totally different feel. The leaders and elders and members made it obvious that the challenges were there for me alone. They weren't challenging my acceptability. They were helping me challenge my skill and ability to exceed my prior limits. They've been great people, and a great help. I'm definitely as better player now, and for SURE I'm going to try to beat that record on the Gold Rush challenge. After all, with their help it feels like the only limits I have are self imposed. 3.5 million gold grabbed in 1 hour, here I come!

    Review of Centum Gladius
I came from a small friend clan with little war experience. I was on the search for a more experienced clan who where able to help and guide me with CoC.
Look no further as I was introduced to Centum Gladius. The members and Leaders, Co Leaders and Elders are fenominal !! They helped and guided me through all wars giving me the best advise on my attacks. They are aways there to help and never turn their back on there members. It is the best and most positive, organised Clan I have ever been part of.
The 10 Trails is hard but best to do and Highly recommended. It is very educational and help to improve your CoC skills.
If you are serious about CoC and want to learn from the Best look no further as Centum Gladius is standing out Proud as one of them.
It is a honour and privilege to be part of Gladius. Keep on Clashing - King

    Centum Ludus Review
I first found the Centum Group back in April when I started back clashing after an extended break. I stopped the first time because I wasn't having much luck progressing at farming and the mounting costs made me lose interest. When I came back, I knew that I needed to do it differently, but I wasn't sure how to farm more efficiently. After finding the Centum Group thread, I did some research on their organization and really liked what I found. I decided to try get my base to the minimal levels to be eligible for acceptance. After doing so, I applied for the entry clans.
I knew the trials would test my skills, but I really enjoyed the fact that they stretched my farming abilities and exposed me to different farming compositions that I hadn't used much before. I also found a wealth of knowledge within Centum Ludus with members willing to help out however they could and whenever it was needed. That, coupled with instantaneous clan castle fills, made it a great help for me. The assistance and aid have gone way beyond just farming tips.
Wars and communication are extremely well organized. So, it's easy for everyone to be on the same page. I can definitely say that my short time in Centum Ludus has been a great opportunity for me, and I look forward continuing my Centum experience for a long time to come.
If you're looking for a solid clan structure that will help you better yourself, I could recommend the Centum Group, and especially Centum Ludus, more highly.

    Leokampoi

I would have to say that this clan is top notch... The trials were challenging, yet definitely not impossible considering that any of the leadership was more than willing to teach many different methods to accomplish the task. I thouroughly enjoyed doing the trials and can honestly say that my farming skills have improved due to them... Thank You Ludus Leadership for providing an excellent clan atmosphere, everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend Centum Ludus to any players in search for a truly excellent Clan, and I would definitely recommend you do the trials, you will learn a lot.

    Shadow

My time in gladius was time very well spent! The trials have taught me a lot of valuable lessons in farming. But IMO the war trials can be improved a bit more. I heard a lot about this family. Whatever I heard was true!this is a great clan
I have been in a lot of clans and this is one of the best and certainly the most friendliest clan I have been in! I'm looking forward to clashing with the family.
    Peace

This was actually my second attempt at a Centum clan, I had applied to Gladius and didn't complete 1 of the trials, but I worked at both war and farming and I came back stronger. The trials were equal parts easy and challenging. They were detailed enough to be a challenge but were very surmountable once I tried. The climate of the clan is amazing. One of my clash pet peeves/phobias was requesting troops and having the request sit and sit and it not be filled. This was not the case with Ludus. The requests were filled quickly and I could get to raiding, and it was also easy to donate. This helped contribute to the family atmosphere of the clan. The clan leadership is great, and I look forward to my next steps in the Centum family. I felt like there was always someone who I could ask for help or to bounce a crazy idea off of (like when I wanted to do L7 sub 200 and was advised against it which turned out to be very very good advice). The resources are great and really helped me get my head around the massive amount of loot that I was able to amass in a short period of time.

    Stan

I first attempted Ludus trials more than a year ago, when I was th8. But real life dragged me away that time and I ceased playing for about a year. But when I returned the simple attempt on trials was already influencing my farming ability in a way, which allowed me to farm well. Needless to say the memories of friendly environment of the clan were still there and after a month of playing I decided to reapply. The trials for th9 are not really challenging (granted, I already had an experience of upgrading 10 lego walls a day).
So, trials are a ton of fun and very useful for anybody, who is intended to max everything. Every adult devoted clasher should try Ludus for it will improve your farming, whatever level you are.
This is a mature clan, intended to make your gameplay better and everyone should try this opportunity.
Have fun and clash on. :-)

    Rishabh

I first joined Arena back in April, but due to my research work and exams I realised I don't have time to complete the trials so I left. But now when I joined the clan and started my journey here, I realised its so much fun and that I have never been hyped and excited about this game so much in any of the previous clans I have been. The trials are very fun challenges and completing them not only gave me new lessons but also helped me improve my farming as well as war skills. The war trials are really cool...I really like the A7 trial and how you guys changed the armies to new and modern ones. I really enjoy doing GoLava now, even tho I never knew I could do such good air attacks earlier.
I really look forward to staying in this family and visiting other Centum clans.

    Einstein

I first joined Centum Ludus in June as an almost Maxed Th8 with 150 skull walls. Now I am at Centum Arena and in process of upgrading to TH9 with everything maxed (including Dark Elixer lab and spell) and its only begining of July!
The farming aspect really paid off in help preparing for war trials.
The leaders, co-leaders, elders are very involved in mentoring members and trialists in war attack strategy. I am a confident TH8 clan war attacker. However, I am a bit concerned in transitioning to TH9. I am no longer as worried as before. I was fortunate to venture to Arena before going to TH9. I have already learned so much from the countless contributions of attack strategies in band suggestions, attack replays, and advance mentoring for TH9 attack stragies.
I really enjoyed the fun armies. Something I never thought of as a possible 3 star method. If anything, you can actually incorporate some aspect of it to clan war. Especially the AQ with mass healer.
    Highly recommended.
