I just wanted to take a moment to talk about my experience in Centum Ludus so far.
I have been playing the game for about 9 months and while I have enjoyed it, I have found that I have increasing needed to buy gems just to keep my interest, as I could not effectively farm for resources, particularly gold.
After leaving my previous clan (which I was in for over 5 months) due to the lack of reciprocal donations and maturity of some players, I stumbled upon the Centum group of clans via the Supercell forums.
What immediately caught my attention was the great reviews current members have given the clan and how a majority of the reviews mentioned the advise and guidance they received from their fellow clan members. Farming, to date, had not been a success for me, so URGENT help was needed.
I applied to Centum Ludus because, although I had a fully maxxed TH8 defensive set up and almost maxxed TH9 troops, my walls were just rubbish. I was accepted and began my trials.
Now on the trials, I must confess that initially I did find the whole idea a bit intimidating but I thought I would have a go anyway. Well, let me just say that after only being in the clan for 5 days, I have raided almost 10million gold (I probably have played less than 2 hours per night on average), and in my one hour gold rush challenge, I managed to steal just over 2.14million in gold. The tips and tricks the elder and clan members have provided on their forum, website and clan chat has been invaluable to me and I look forward to a long membership with Centum.
I would encourage all players who would like to maximise their farming potential and who meet the clan requirements to apply TODAY.

I have been a member of Centum Ludus for just 5 days now. I want to tell you about my experience thus far. While I'm still getting to know the members, they have been welcoming. The chat is active nearly all of the time. Even overnight my time. I enjoy that people come and visit from the other clans.
As far as the trials go. They are challenging but not impossible. They will teach you some great tricks to really help your raiding improve. Because they do take some time and effort. It does weed out the not so serious players. So you end up with a active strong group of players. Everyone is encouraging and wants you to succeed. They do take some time so don't join during your finals week or while you are traveling as you could run out of time. If you put the effort in you will get a lot of them. A couple of them are worded a little tricky but everyone was happy to clarify and you can see others results so that can help answer your questions about how to go about it properly.
Personally I came from a clan, that was trying to tell people that they had to farm at a certain trophy level or would be kicked. Although this might work for some at higher levels with proper upgrades, and will inflate your clan with a higher ranking trophy level. But the inflation is artificial. Because most members unless they are already fairly advanced will not be able to maintain good growth. As they are just working harder but not smarter. At Centum it is the opposite they want people to grow their account correctly and efficiently. With what you learn in the trials upgrades are easier to get to. You end up having a not enough builders problem and overflow problems instead of scraping for resources to get your builders going. Elders are on often and answer your questions about farming, the trials and base design.
I also enjoy that they encourage requesting. I'm happy to donate and I do whenever I see a request, But in other clans I had to always I felt discouraged to request. It is nice not to be as concerned about requesting often because the clan castle troops can be every helpful, and the clan realizes that.
Now with my trials nearly passed, I look forward to continuing to get to know my clan mates and hopefully continuing to learn how to be a more effective player. If you want to maximize the time that you do play by learning some tried and tested techniques. Do consider applying to Centum Ludus or any of the Centum clans where you qualify.
I'll admit I was nervous about this clan when I first started and got the challenge information. Seems overwhelming when you've done things totally different than how they recommend. I struggled at first but the members pointed me in the right direction on how to tackle these challenges. I'm still only a day in but got my first 1 million gold raid in under one hour. Amazing!!! I couldn't even hold anymore in my storages and now have to wait until I can spend some of it to get moving again!
Everyone is super friendly and willing to donate at the drop of a hat. I was so focused in other clans with ensuring people kept a good donation ratio and their trophy level at a certain level but in actuality those things don't really even matter. This clan is a 10/10 for sure!
I'm excited to learn more and keep raiding away!!! Hopefully with time constraints (work...blah) I'll be able to complete the last few challenges over the next week so I can be part of this game changing clan!
