    Brown Sugar Emergency!

I always try and fill my boat orders, and I've filled this one up totally except for an order of 11 brown sugar. Does anyone have some brown sugar that they could sell me? I only have 30 minutes let on my boat and I would hate to lose all the other stuff that my friends and I have put in.

New to (general) boats...what to do?

    Hi,
    Have a couple of questions...

I just loaded a general boat (no quests etc), but couldnt fill the last 2 crates of ? cherry/berry juices and "opened them" for others to fill.
No probs...they did this (tho I didn't check the time first...only 1hr something left... ugh!
when I checked the crates, they were just "closed" with "envelopes" on them...not names etc.

1st question....What did this mean? Was I meant to just send the boat off then, or click/tap the envelopes first or what?

    2nd question...
the next boat is asking for vanilla ice-creams....is that classified as a non-no like dairy and sugar?

    3rd....
im not attempting any achievement and really want to focus on other areas of my arm ATM.
so do people really care if I just let these boats dock, sit and then leave empty?
Or should I open crates for others to fill or not as they want? (Wont unfilled ones leaving my dock neg. affect my co-op rating tho?)

    Appreciate your boating prowess!

You're supposed to click on the envelopes first to send gift cards to the people who helped filled your crates.
To the second question, it's your option to open the ice cream boats or not, you don't have to send them away. I personally keep them as I always have lots of ice cream in stock.
For the third question, you can send a boat away empty if you don't like what it's asking for, most people don't want to fill crates if they know the person has no intention of filling it all. But some people still fill the crates anyways for the XP, once again it's up to you and how you want to play the game.

Don't friends still get their boat points for helping even if the boat goes away not filled?

Have a feeling you are right about that...?

That was sorta my point...is there a negative for either the ''helper" or the dock owner if these boats are only partially filled?

I don't want to be opening boats I know Im not going to be able to fill on my own...

Nor do I want people to think I expect them to fill all my boats for me...(until im ready to 'boat', I'm happy to let them all pass by)

Yet, if there is a benefit in opening them for others to do them, well why wouldn't I?

I just don't want any parties to be penalised if they leave only partially filled...(including myself).

    Maybe thats clearer?

The negative for the dock owner is that you can't send away a partially filled boat, so it blocks your dock for the entire filling time. If you send a boat away empty and without asking for help a new one arrives in 4 hours.

There is a benefit to your friends since they can get XPs and boat points for filling your crates. Some people seem to be upset when they fill crates and then the boat leaves partly empty... "my stuff was wasted". A little pretentious I think.

So I guess if you don't care about having the boat sit on the dock for most of the day, you could open the easiest/best XP crates for your friends to fill and then ignore the boat until it leaves on its own.

How would they even know? I can't say I've ever gone back to see how a boat is doing when I've filled a crate or two.

Would anyone be willing to sell me carrot cakes, pies or cacao at max price to help fill my boat? I could give you something in return if you'd like.

    Done. Thank you bl270
