I say there is a 50/50 chance SC is working on some kind of update that can only happen when a new season starts and that there was some kind of issue with it that they are trying to work out.

I have little hope, that if it is an update -- it will be for main base.

I don't know how much you were on here before starting the new job, but the word "soon" has an unfortunate history on here and tends to get mocked a lot. My bit of free advice would be to try and manage without that word In a bit the same way that any mention of Ferraris is now unlikely to help whatever you are trying to say...

Having worked for the studio that popularized "Soon™" I understand. But it is a short period within the near future without a specified time, which is completely applicable.

Yeah, but absolutely everything you said is relative. What is "soon" to SC is not going to be the same for everyone. Unless you have specific dates/times, it really is best to leave it at, "I'll provide more information as I get it" or something similar.

Personally, I don't mind the usage. But, it seems that the majority of the community has very little patience once the word "soon" has been typed.

But surely they know themselves why they extended the season? So the solution is simple. Tell us. I just do not get the whole cloak and dagger mystery that surrounds this.

Lets not forget, this was not something SC told us about. Players found out for themselves. It was purposely hidden for reasons unknown. Why try and sneak something in? I am passed caring what this new 'cool' thing is - but I am certain it will not justify sneaking a change through and then keeping players waiting for days on end guessing as to what on earth is going on with the league season.

All this thread and the current new hype threads would have all been prevented had SC simply said in the announcement..."We are also extending the season whilst we work on something new....please bear with us"

Correct....after players identified the change. Of course you had to say something at that point.

The question is why was it not announced formally prior to the change....That is what irks most forumers - SC making changes whilst keeping its player base in the dark.

Anyway - clearly we are not going to get a justified reason until some other announcement is made "soon" as you say. But I am as certain as I can be that it will not justify trying to sneak something past the players.
