I really don't like the fishing mini game myself, so I've been using nets all the time. I wasn't going into the fishing pond most of the time anyway so the nets are perfect for me.

Nets are a must for the lobster, but the only benefit for the nets that I see is if you know you're gonna be away for awhile or putting them on before you go to bed.

Nets are not a necessity for the lobster only the fish. For lobsters you need lobster traps. That's where the net maker comes in. You need it to make fishing nets and lobster traps. The fishing nets are. Waste of time. Between making them and dropping/waiting you can end up with 2 to 4 fish for 18 hours investment. I'm not using them again until SC steps up with a fix for this problem.

Just figured I'd clarify a couple of posts: You need the net maker to produce TRAPS (cages) to get the lobsters. The nets are only for fish (net with red bob) and the mystery haul (net with purple bob--costs 5 diamonds)

So even if you don't want to bother with nets because lures are more efficient, you will still need the Net Maker and the Lobster Pool to produce lobster products.

Yea I meant traps, not nets. And I said the only things the nets are good for is if you know your not gonna be on or when your sleeping.

God how I wish I could sleep 20 hrs, sadly I'm up at 5 every morning. But I'm referring to what it CAN be helpful for, not that I do it. I personally think the nets are a joke but I was trying to throw some encouragement out about what they could be helpful for, for some people. But you were right about 1 thing, I do have 2 teenagers and my son can sleep 20hrs if I let him lol.

I agree! Takes to darn long! I spend to much time on this game and the waiting is killing me!
