I've built the Gem Mine, but I've yet to get the Crusher.

Idk why people build gem mine, i mean what use 2 gems per day will give you when resources are already so scarce in the new village i be better using that lix somewhere else, i wont be getting my gem mine till i am max bh 5

Well if you spend the elixer to build it then it only sets you back about half a day or so. It is nice to have some extra gems for your home base.

i would value 3rd camp, archers , giants upgraded and gold storages upgraded before gem mine, and now im BH4 its about saving for 4th camp

Well if you spend the elixer to build it then it only sets you back about half a day or so. It is nice to have some extra gems for your home base.

I'm slumming at sub 650. So it probably sets me back by one day. But I'll probably get it when it costs me half a day's loot when I climb higher.

Crusher is crazy powerful against barbs and giants.

It really is, can kill them in 3 hits or so, archers are a good way to take it out ( depending on where it is)

I'm not using gems as it is, so, I've opted to upgrade troops, and get the 4th camp early on BH4 (currently on the way), instead of getting the Gem mine right now.

I do, still, believe that the Gem Mine serves a purpose as trash building later, but for now, I'm sniping them for easy percentage :-)

Design a base to funnel enemy troops toward the crusher. It crushes everything in its path. Gem mine serves as an obstacle.

I already got those. I'm just about to get my BH4. I got first gem from the gem mine today. I should get my second gem when the BH4 is ready. Gem mine is just another pointless structure that can provide cover for the defences.
