If I have 2 builders removing 2 the same trees (let say the pine trees which costs 1000 elixirs)...

should I wait for 16 hours for the 2 of them to grow or after 8 hours... BOOM! i have 2 new plants? Thanks

I think it was thusly:
if you remove 2 at the same time...then 8 hours after you will get 1 spawn, and then 8 hours after that you'll get a second.

It could also just be 8 hours after the last spawn..I.e. if you had 40 objects, removed one 2 hours ago, and then removed 2 at the same time, then it would be a 6hour wait until one spawns.

Good question. I believe it would be 8 hours for bother of them not 16

Well it really isn't "there are 2 that spawn every 8 hours" it is "one new one is added every 8 hours"

Otherwise every one of the 40 would spawn every 8 hours... which would be a bit ridiculous.

Also: Rocks don't spawn again.
Only trees, mushrooms, trunks and bushes do.
