HayDay went more and more inequal with its deco. Remember Panda-Gate? The new introduction of special deco tied to diamond packages? They see that a big part of players like deco and that there are enough people who spend real money to get them. So why should they offer deco in-game when you simply can buy them? It has a psychological point: Oh look, the other farm has this, now I want this, too.
Until the new deco packages were introduced, everyone had the same, equal opportunity to buy every deco available. Sometimes you did have to wait a bit longer (seasonal deco, WOF) or save your diamonds (which you find by simply playing), but every player at least had the same opportunity to get those.

I really don't like people saying "you aren't forced to buy deco. You can still play the game without deco" - obviously that's true at the first glimpse, BUT there are many many players who cannot afford spending real money and still, they want to decorate their farms. Or are playing in little nhs where they will never get a derby deco unless SC will put them in the in-game shop after some years (for a large number of diamonds).
Some people don't want to brag with their deco - they just want to have a beautiful area/farm for theirselves. They simply enjoy the fact of having a nice looking farm or themed areas.

long story short: I'm totally for equal rights for smaller hoods.

I'm not dismissing the efforts of smaller hoods, if I insinuated that anywhere that was not my intention. I do however demand a premium on the higher risk the larger hoods carry into derby. So many more members risk losing if one player drops the ball; as such they are worthy of a greater reward.
Your largest issue is harder to trash and fill board in large hood, no? That is separate issue than prizes rewards. Your complaint needs to be why derby board doesn't fill so to be similar to truck board: take task, new one fills. That solve time problems for large hoods.

And for percentages, one person drop in <5 hoods, you definitely lose PLUS you lose horseshoe. So double loss. Points you need in over 20 derby player hoods is so small for all horseshoes.

Players in single hoods can also tell you their problems: nobody to help except friends DD, no blue crate on boats, etc. To play and win single player the only way to win must set board before start. This means you farm different until you can do derby. If you do boat task you must spend diamonds to speed up or never can win. And by time finish first task, many times 3 players already finished 10 tasks.

I don't understand why big neighborhoods are what supercell wants? What's the advantage for them? Why is a neighborhood of five (all the horseshoes) more special than a neighborhood of three? Hayday is a fun game for me, not a risk taking game. I quit playing the derby, to much stress no rewards.

I don't understand, either, Esther... Frankly, I'm surprised that there was even such a heated debate over this issue. I was very thankful for those who supported the cause for the small hoods but saddened by those who didn't. I don't understand why anyone would think that a derby player who has wholeheartedly earned 3,200 points should not be rewarded with the horseshoes required to get some rare decos... my goodness! ... and why do those in bigger hoods care? Don't they want some of their friends in smaller hoods to get some nice little saddles? Sounds quite selfish to me. I don't have much hope that things will change and therefore, I, too will stop playing the Derby. What a shame.

C'mon Jess - you started this ball rolling and have picked up a huge wave of support here Don't give up and quit NOW!!

Maybe a next step could be a poll? And a developer question in the next round. A post in the ideas subforum? What's the next act? Most of the HD community that posted here supports equality for small hoods.

Creating change is a process, and it can be a long process. There is no guarantee that the exact change you seek will happen at the end, but you ARE guaranteed this: NOTHING will change if no one tries.

We've been trying since SC created the derby subforum many many moons ago. I was pretty much leading the charge . There certainly weren't a shortage of threads talking about it. But like a lot of things on this forum, we debate, we discuss and after a while it just sinks into oblivion to be never heard of again...until someone else comes along and poses the same question.

If SC really thought it was something they should proactively change, they would've done so a long time ago.

Or maybe now there's enough derby data to make the change -- you never know when the time may be ripe.

Jess, sorry I haven't chimed in until now. You know I'm supporting Equal Decos for small hoods. The one week we had 5 opted in, it would have only taken everyone doing tasks that were in the 290 range (I had it figured out, just don't recall exact #) to earn all 9 horseshoe rewards. With only 2 playing lately, we only earn 5 horseshoes, and we are doing 320's. That isn't even close to being fair. There's tons of small hoods using diamonds and buying diamonds, so it's really to SC's benefit to at least give us a fighting chance.

Would love for you to do a poll, also. Maybe they would take their blinders off and see how dedicated we are.

Thanks to Be A Legend for the signature!

So glad to "see" you, Peggy! I've been missing you, and, from the bottom of my , thanks for your comments.
