It is on the right path, but in my view the biggest problem is the waiting time, the amount of attacks does not have to be so great, but the wait time for resources, yes, should be less. It would be far more practical to let players attack every four hours or every six hours for, say, three attacks or maybe five attacks. Bosses would attack for a smaller amount, but more times during the day, making the game more interesting and with a number of players connected for longer throughout the day.
