    Ok, now that you have seen that 1v1 can work well let's see it in high level gameplay. Make Legend League and I would argue Titans 3 and up a 1v1 tournament. Eliminates most of the clouds and rewards players based on skill and base design rather than who has the most time (and I have a lot of time).

    This was suggested months and months ago in the Common Cure for the Clouds thread and I am a little flabbergasted that it was rolled out in the Builder Base and not in Legend League at least. You don't need any sort of matchmaking algorithm up there either if you limit it by cup level.

    Agreed with this. Not sure if it's a mechanics thing or a number of matchups available or what. But, it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to always match with the same TH level. At least that way, victory is completely dependent on strategy and base design rather than simply have superior troops.

    Really like this idea. Leave normal matchmaking for Titan and below. But, turn Legends into a 1v1 like the Builder's base for the players that choose to go to that league.

    Builder Base should have never been released as part of Clash of Clans when it's obviously a brand new game in development. One day it will be level 10+, taking years to progress. How confusing would it be for someone playing Clash for the first time and having to choose which base to progress. No one is going to play the game from scratch to max out both bases, especially if they know the old base has serious problems that will never get addressed. Builder Base doesn't represent Clash of Clans that we all love.

    I have to agree with this. There are a few features in the new game mode I'd love to see implemented in the main game that would've been well received. Like no cost armies and ability to switch armies on the fly...
    I don't think throwing together a new base to upgrade was a good call.
    People were asking for a new game mode, not a new base to develop...

    I like the 1-on-1 game mode, but there should definitely be a strong link to the original CoC (enhanced buildings, troops, heroes for old base). Otherwise it would be stupid.

    this is the first time I have hit the forums since the update drop. surprise, surprise...there is a lot of whining about this and that.

    well I just want to chime in and say I love it. pretty much love everything about it. I love the one-on-one aspect, I love the pushing without clouds, and yes I really love the fact that it doesn't reward just mindless time-drain farming and pushing. I love the fact that it actually balances offense and defense, and the fact that it is truly a (mini)game of skill. I am having a lot of fun with it.

    obviously, all the people with too much time on their hands are upset about the loot cap. I am good with it. I don't want this to be another farming race to max...been there, done that. they could maybe cut it from 24 hours to 12 and that would be ok. really, all the complaints boil down to the fact that you can gem to max on the first day but you can't farm to max nearly as quickly. boo hoo. it doesn't seem like it's going to take long to max these bases regardless, so I think everybody should just chill. go farm in the main game if that's all you want to do.

    anyway, just wanted to offer my gratitude and positive feedback on this update. thanks, supercell!

    I doubt SC is really reading any of our feedback, but this is a truly disappointing update. What's worse is the direction the game is going. Freemium games aren't free, and they gotta put food on the tab.e, but they're pulling in a couple billion bucks a year. Yuo can only play gen minutes a day without spending two bucks for another ten or less minutes?

    Time to bring back video game arcades; at least there I could play 15 or 20 minutes minimum on just a quarter.

    What a complete disappointment.

    I've only played the update very little so far, just busy with real life stuff the last couple of days. But I will say what I always say immediately after an update... I'll reserve judgment for awhile and see how things play out.

    But, I do have 5 retired builders that are not adapting well to retired life. They are cranky and bored and they would love to board a ship for new lands. Even if they just get to look over the other guy's shoulder and tell him he's building it wrong...

    I knew all the visitors of that thread would be chiming in at some point.

    Yup, there it is, we told you it would work.
    The perfect trophy system.

    Now find a way to port it into normal multiplayer, then the maxed out players have something to do (AND SPEND BOOST GEMS ON) technically forever.

    Or even a completely separate game mode and leaderboard within normal village, thus avoiding many of the logistical issues.
    Make it JUST like builder village mechanically....as in your heroes and 240/275 camp space takes an hour to cook, 15mins if boost....then you have 60-90 seconds to make your plan and build your army from scratch.

    Surely that would work. Could even run leaderboards per TH if really wanted under those conditions.
