I miss pre-Dec 15 as well, but this update has kind of given Supercell a cushion to sit on so that all the post Dec 15 haters won't hate the game too badly anymore.
Still, this game is not the same the way it was pre-Dec 15. And that is a bad thing.

Told myself I wouldnt rush to th11 untill this update, really dont want to do it with a 35 BK...but its nearing the end of the line for me after a year of pain in war with this townhall level, well miners were fun for abit I suppose..
The boat pic was leaked what feels like eons ago. They've been planning this for a very long time. The game seems to be going in the direction as they have always planned or else it would be hard to justify rolling out another milestone update. It will continue to grow and those that end up not liking it will leave. Can't hold onto people forever can it? I'm still in awe I'm still at it after so long.

I'm not really a fan of this second base... It has some nice ideas and all (I love what they did with the unit upgrades and forcing you to build defenses to upgrade your TH). It's almost like they wanted to make a Clash 2, but can't risk fragmenting the community, so they put it right into the same game.
The thing is - the way the 1v1 works with the new bases is great! It would fix the engineering problems because you could never win 1v1 if your defenses sucked. And it encourages building the strong new defenses (like xbows and infernos). I would love to 1v1 in this format with my current base (that I've spent so much time on), not some brand new base that I'm forced to build up now. The unit upgrades bringing abilities is also great. It makes the units in the main base seem very bland. Archers and barbs have so little use at higher level other than barching for loot. Having a second base with different mechanics (troop building and camps and upgrading) is not so great though.
I'm seeing some backlash about all this too in the forums and in my own clan. Our highest player just quit. Not everyone wants to manage a second base with new mechanics, starting from scratch. There's a perception that you have to do this or be penalized on your war base and efforts. Accurate or not, it's not good. I'm still on the fence and trying everything out, but now I have 3 accounts and 6 bases to manage :-( I would really have liked to just see Supercell take a chance and update the core gameplay with some of these features.
Between this and the lack of movement on the war matchmaking algorithm/engineered bases fix, we are losing players![]()

My opinion on the update is pretty good. I like how there is a second village, and even if you don't like it you don't have to use it. I also like how we can try out funky and different troops, but the one thing that I HATE is the loot. I understand Supercell wants their money so I knew they would do that, but I wish that that didn't apply in this update. I also like the Gear Up idea in our main village and how we can change from single to burst, but I don't like that there weren't many other improvements to our main village. So I just wanted to hear all of your guys' opinion.![]()

I have four accounts and time to play right now, but I'm not. Still can't even spend my resources on my max account, can't earn anything in the new village, no incentive to play, epic letdown from a "huge" update
