Actually, no. I don't mind a loot cap. I do not want to be finished with new content in a day.

If SC intended this to be a side game, a loot cap absolutely makes sense. If you only want to play the new game mode, then I understand the frustration. But to me, it's a side activity.

My only real issue with the update is the lack of changes to the main base. But, I like the potential of the new "modifications" on defenses - but will something similar on offense in the future.

Mid TH11 here..... I am just wondering if SC is listening to its player base at all. Of all the things that were really asked for, like more clan interaction(co chatrooms, editable titles, more titles. Clan war management, clan management tools..etc) we get something else entirely. I'm not going to take digs at the new update, but had you released sneak peeks you could have saved this catastrophe by listening to the player base. Sailing to a new village to completely start over, and feels like stuff from CR regurgitated. I really dot want to come off sounding like an ungrateful player. I appreciate all the work that went into this update, but you guys are not listening to the player base at all. And that is a mistake imho. And all the Mods whom hyped this have lost credibility in my eyes. I'm sorry but this is my opinion.

What a massive own goal. I would never have thought it would be possible to supersede the poorly handled Dec '15 update, but amazingly Supercell have managed it. I've maxed a th9 and 10 and love war. Why would I want to start from scratch on another game, in which daily progress is limited? If I wanted to start another game, I'd have started a new game!?! What a massive but predictable disappointment.
And all those youtubers who lit a fire under the 'hype engine' - have you no shame? "I'm super hyped by this massive update". No you're not you massive ****.
