The white pearl thread

To those who are fortunate to have found the pearl,

on average, how many unsuccessful tries did you have? I've done 12 mystery nets, and no pearl yet. I don't have too many diamonds so i am wary of continuing to try, but its so beautiful! Also, does the area where the net is placed play a factor?

Hiya Absolute, I read your back farming again after a break .
I used to gave 16 beautiful pearls until a neighbour jumper over my blackberry hedge & pinched them all 😄

It actually took me 40 mystery nets to catch my 1st ....... Only 7 for my 2nd ...... And this morning I've just pulled my 52nd net 😥😥😥😥😥 but to no avail . I take screen shots of all my catches so I can keep a count.

I read on this thread that pearls were found either in the area with the sunken ship or the rocky area next to the waterfall. So instead of putting out loads of nets I just put mystery ones in those two areas. I remember Matt (the pearl magnet hehe) said that he got pearls in all areas so maybe try a variation? I started randomly putting mine at the actual waterfall and the other rocky area. I think it took around 40 nets for both the pearls putting 2-3 nets everyday.

I'm wondering if there's a particular time of day that you're more likely to get them...?

Also Helen that is some strong iron fencing! I'm sure the little people are magpies and want to veer off course when they walk to your house haha.

Yes I believe they still are. I have been trying for one for several months and won't give up! I just laid down 200 diamonds worth of nets last week and didn't succeed but then SC ran a special on diamonds again so I'm going to attempt again and again till I get that pearl!

I have managed to catch two pearls so far. Got both of them from the same spot, the first fishing hole right beside the s♥♥♥♥. (For some reason it won't let me put s.h.a.c.k.)

I knew this oyster wasn't going to come easy, but I'm on net number 46. I'm using them in all fishing spots, not any specific ones. I've already pulled 43 nets out, have 3 more soaking as I'm typing, and 3 more being produced, so that's 245 diamonds in total, lol! I also screencap everything and keep them in an album on FB so I can keep track. I used the supercell diamond special offer, but oh my lordy, is this ever going to come out of the water?!! I came here to see if it was still possible to haul in the oyster, and I see other people are also having to use a ridiculous number of nets. Wow.. I can't give up now, I'm obsessed.. lol

Congratulations to all those who have dragged an oyster out of their pond!

I remember the first time I caught my pearl, I was ecstatic !! Jumping up & down .It was like water off a ducks back when I told the hubby & I was desperate to share my news with someone who would appreciate my great achievement , hence waking my 11yr old son up at 10.30 pm .
For a week or so I was happy gloating over my pearl then thought hmmmmm a pair would look lovely on my farm
So the quest began for the second . A week later I hauled my 2nd pearl & there they sit beautifully on the driveway of my farm.
The hunt for my 3rd is taking its toll on my diamond tally My 60th net will be ready in 4 hrs , so fingers crossed.

So far I've spent a total of 530 diamonds ....... Boy it's a good job I love a challenge .

Thanks for your reply! I'm so glad my obsession is at least slightly normal, well, amongst the HD community that is, lol! I expect my reaction to finally hauling my first oyster will be much the same as yours, lol. Was your son as impressed as you? lol

I feel I will probably want a pair too.. or maybe five, it's my obsessive number, lol, lord help me. 60 nets, wow.. I think I've hit 50 now with the ones currently in production. I literally just can't stop. But I realised something, if that oyster decor was in the decor shop for say 200 diamonds, I probably would think it was an outrageous price and think very carefully about spending that many diamonds on it, lol. Doesn't make sense. I suppose since we're spending them in smaller chunks with the nets it makes it easier to stomach, sort of, lol.

I just pulled up the white pearl. Yahoo! I've only put 6 nets down over time so this was a great find.
