Personal example from my own gaming today: I desperately needed 1 golden voucher. So I was deleting truck orders for the favour of metal orders. Deleted the ridiculous 8 EIGHT platinum bars requests several times and best I could collect within hours was 3x 2 diamond rings. Lucky me had a neighbour who sold 5 in one stall and another one 1.

If the first neighbour would have had decided to separate his offer into 5 single ones, I would have been a greedy raider. But with his 5er offer, he saved space in his store, I paid him a big amount of money at once and everyone was happy.

f I have a lot of tools to spare and want to give many ppl the chance to get at least one, I wait 5 or 10 minutes between publishing the single offers. I invest that time in order to be truly fair - to my customers.


Ps: finally got 2 golden vouchers from a boat, not from the truck orders

I had been selling the rings at bulk like 9 in 1 slot but then realised only 1 person at a time can get them so i split it up and i dont load all at once now. I have resort to doing that waiting between single offers. But i cant be like watching the rss to see who swoop or not. I put it up i done my schedules, close the game and do something else then check back later in 1-2 hrs usually to be in line with Tom waking up.

Well, whatever it is, i am pretty sure that lady who buys everything is a nice person and i realised i am annoyed by her buying all the rings up everytime more than i should. If only i can just send her 1 message to inform her to give other people a chance. I think thats the underlying gripe . Anyhow, if it doesnt work out, ill just remove for my own sanity i guess.

I read some posts on this forum since playing Hay Day in a more consistent manner, after my favourite game that cannot be named and shamed here became a money grabbing ransom blackmailing enterprise.

it seems to me, and I am trying to tread as diplomatically as I can, that many players complaining about what they term to be raiders are of female persuasion. I suppose men are just less attached to things, as in real life unfortunately, and I take it upon myself to advertise my services with no strings attached.

Please feel free to add me to your circle of trusted aquintances. Raiders are my bread and butter, as I need monies at this stage, lots of it. I am not a high level player and cannot produce many of the wondrous items of which you speak, but I do stock my shop regularly with saws and axes + other useless ♥♥♥♥. I cannot hoard too many expansion items due to limited barn space and shortage of cash, so I will sell any excess as well. You are free to buy some or all of my junk under the top selling price (except the rare ones at full rates) and I do not want a thank you in return. If you do not move your business to my premises within an hour or so or feel touchy about buying my gold bars, I will find somebody else who will in the big shop full of eggs and bacons located next to my mailbox. You are free to resell any items, once they leave my shop they are obviously not of my concern. If you sell nails and bolts, I show no pity and will raid your shop or part of it at my own discretion + chase your chickens and your horses aound your farm till I get bored. I do not look at your fishing bampf because it is pointless but reserve the right to study it thouroughly and make copies of it if I my life goes horribly wrong and the only entertainment I have left is looking at some cartoonish fishies.

i am somewhat ambigous about the whole boat business and helped people in the past, but do expect inconsistencies here amd there.

If you feel this is a relationship befitting your darkest raiding dreams, please add me on game center and dont look back. I do not do Facebook as it is blocked in the country I am currently banished to.

What you are describing s the addictive part of it and until the last update, SC had 5 star mastered it. I am not additicted to Tom cos I like to care for my wallet as much as I care for my friends but I find it difficult to ignore goals or challenges or achievements etc. For me it's more satisfying to solve probs myself rather than pay gems and let Tom run. But everybody is different!

I just logged on again and cared for my productions but just the idea of going thru pain for helping others when finding stuff for them put me off. I did not even load my store since several hours now because I have to stay and claim the money to protect privacy of my customers. So storage is exploding while I know there is a lot which would be useful for others. Just cant face the hassle.

Was just thinking if SC teams ever play their own game on hard core conditions? Or are they sitting together on Monday morning breakfasts in socks and fool around: "Yeah, why not let them spy on each other? Would be sooooo funny, maybe they all kick each other off friend list, create tribunals judging raiders and for the rest let them get jealous and suspicious? Fun, fun, fun, and let's also really torture our players with 4 days waiting time for a pizza, hurray, that's fuuuuuuun!'

I cannot imagine that this is what happens but the new developments are more than.... weird.

If it were up to me, I would certainly say let's all call out the trading thieves. Call out players for flagging almost all of their sugar or cream crates, but not other crates on the same boat (a personal pet peeve). However, what offends one player might not offend another player.

My husband sometimes plays (on my game) and he just DOES NOT GET THIS! He can't see why it's annoying to only see sugar or dairy being flagged on a boat, and only doesn't do the same with mine under threat if being banned from my IPad. It baffles him when I flag one of each crate even when i can fill them all myself. He can't see why raiding is annoying, and loves it if things are bought super fast by one person. And I am there explaining it to him in person, not over an Internet forum.

He doesn't feel as though he's playing this game in a community, which I guess is why he's like that - he also doesn't get why I like joining in on the forum either. Very telling...( he does behave on my game but I suspect he would be a pain if he played it on his own)

mzmflo: You seem like a very nice person and not malicious, like some of the regular raider complainers on this forum. You are just eager to give all your neighbors a fair chance and frustrated because it's not working as you'd planned. The GC unfriend ability is there for a reason; you have the free will to use it or not.

I'm sending you a request as well to make amends for any hard feelings my posts may have caused. You can accept if you wish and unfriend me at any time if you feel I'm not the sort you want in your circle. I promise I won't buy all of your rings.

@Tweezle: You and your husband are proof that people see things from different points of view, interpret the input differently, have different opinions and feelings about that input, and have different reactions and ideas about how best to respond. You enjoy playing it more seriously and socially and he enjoys the thrill of a free for all.

You are both right. It's one of the best things about Hay Day; we are all given the same exact game but also the freedom to play it how best suits our point of view and the continuing freedom to change how we play as we advance in levels and grow in the community atmosphere and challenges placed before us.

This is a game of individuality and self expression...the only time and resource management game I've ever seen to be so. Just as we decorate our farms to suit our tastes of the day, so do we decorate our game style to suit our needs of the day.
