    using goblin rush with heal spell
    should be fixed with mortars hitting 4 and soon wizards 3

    math is telling me i was at 718 trophies at log out for bit more than 1 days time
    either way i dont think it as "The UNBREAKABLE!!!!" but does seem well and will be rearranging as time moves
    from the replays i was able to see the only wall breakers successfully used hit the top corner and broke the gold and healed into the elixir (The one person who actually knew what he was doing)(Most ppl at this lvl and trophies are not very good)
    didn't have any 1 troop droppers surprisingly

    for your level that's a great layout. personally, i would have the town hall somewhere less protected for an easy shield from noobs.

    That's pretty impressive considering your TH was right outside.

    Posting my humble base again to continue the discussion started from Hannibal :)

    I am posting my farming* base with the updated screenshot again due to Hannibal came to my own thread to give me a good unsolicited base design comments. I will like to continue the discussion from here.



    This is the updated screen shot of my humble farming* base which i made by myself from scratch. I am open to all honest critiques & comments.



    To dear Hannibal & the rest, I do know there is a big single cavity at the center of my base. I chose this due to there are a total of 9 storage to cover up & it allow many different strategic placement of your defense inside to play with. I personally like base with segmentation base for defense & storage as that make it very irritating & tough for the opponents to loot everything. I preferred to use a single cavity to cover all my storage as i believed with a high level of defense, it can actually protect and save resources from your storage more than a segmentation base could over a long run.

    Many players chose to hit and run after getting the free trophy boost from my TH, or they will just spam lightning spells to farm on my loaded dark elixir storage and run as that is the trend of easy farming for dark elixirs. Therefore i placed my dark elixir storage far away from my important defense and other storage. I always preferred to have a balance defense for all directions as well, which I made this base with some segmentation for the side of my defense with some spikes outside & a single cavity. I place my exterior buildings in such a way to force the opponents to deploy at the borders only. This will add a little difficulties for them to lure my cc troops out and kill & to disrupt the plan they plotted to raid my base. I placed all the stronger and more important buildings such like the miners , collectors & dark elixir drills evenly at the edge of my walls to slow down and buy the time for my defense to clear the troops off, this also allowed goblins run a merry go round before they can bite through any side of the walls to the core for the storage. I also make use of all the decorations that i bought to funnel the troops. I always try to put in the shoes of the enemies & imagine I am one to analyse my own base for improvements & mind games. I hope these could explained why I chose & made such a design and how I utilized everything. Just my 2 cents worth, thanks!

    I will like to share this formation for the mortars and wizard towers below as well. I called it "triple threat" formation. This is a very defensive and fierce formation. It allow you to get a great defense for 360 degree. Can always try it out for your base hope it helps!



    My base can defend effectively against a full army of dragons level 3 with a few level 5 rage spells as well

    Regarding Segmented base vs Single Core bases, i shall elaborate abit.

    This was my first base when I hit TH8


    The reason why I chose segmented base was, when I am attacking, the most frustrating i hate is for the base to have segmented storages. So I put myself in my enemy shoes and created a segmented base.

    However, segmented bases usually meant that each and every storage, is very vulnerable if the enemy focus on one side, even a th7 with decent strategy can get atleast 1 storage, which is 100k or 66k, which can get costly in the long run.

    So, I've decided to move on to a single core base.
    If you notice the CoC Population carefully, only a handful of the few hundreds of thousands of clashers, are actually "good" players that can attack well, many others are just leisure iphone gamers, or newbs etc.

    Thats why, I made the base to defend against the majority, while making it hard for experience attackers.

    Here is my updated base.



    Oh yeah, here is a fail attack that i've just recorded just now haha.

    Well it's a simple X layout ,for noob hard to break but for a veteran not a problem to reach into center

    Replying to Kristzy (I don't want to quote again the whole wall of text)

    Yeah, it's legitimately a challenge to cover nine storages adequately. I'm struggling with this in my own designs despite having only eight fully leveled.

    I like what you've done to make your rind as tough as can reasonably be done with the available defensive resources. Obviously, this is an eight to ten wallbreaker breach if someone really puts their mind to it, but that assumes a lot of things will go perfectly which may be unrealistic given that you have fairly decent coverage of those wallbreaker lanes with your X-bows as well as the bomb cavities. I'm normally not a fan of bomb cavities like these, but in this case I don't mind them as they prevent your 50k bombs from getting tripped too often as well as reinforcing the obvious paths of attack. I wasn't sure if you had adequate coverage of those cross ends from an archer mass breaching those walls given that your mortars are so central, but again I think your X-bows would make that costly. Maybe that's the way to attack this actually. Knock out an X-bow on one side with lightning and then either take your chances with archer mass or wb runs. Your perimeter defense really hinges on those X-bows.

    Anyway, I don't mean to come off as the master of base design offering an unsolicited judgement on your work. Someone just pointed me at your base given that I'm interested in them as puzzles to be solved. There was enough about your design that I liked that I thought I'd say as much.

    Fair warning that if I see you come up in my attack queue, that I'm going to attack. Interesting bases like these I always attack just to see what I can do even if I fail miserably.
