No this isn't spam! But as far as I know, only works for Android users.
My nephews phone kept getting emails from Google Play with codes to redeem, every other week or so. I notice one came though for Google Play Games specifically so I tried it to get diamonds from another farm I rarely use.
It was the 130 diamonds for 99p. Worked perfectly, bought it in seconds, I'll save them to send Tom for things as I level up eventually.
You'll have to subscribe to Google Plays email service for them to send you promotions. So far I've had money off books, films, music and finally earlier this evening, games!
You won't get promotions straight away but money for free, £1 to be exact, waiting around for that is worth it in my opinion - especially if you're lucky enough to get a limited time offer soon. I'll have until the 31St to use it so fingers crossed!
