Your leader is coward. No war is a win before it started. Everything depends on your attacks. If the first five bases is not good enough then this war is probably a draw or could be a win even.
In my opinion, you should plan something good to avoid engineered clans, or learn to fight back by making engineered accounts.

Ask your leader to leave leadership.

The matchmaker does throw out an occasional stinker... That said, many engineered clans--many clans, period--don't attack as well as you are expecting.

You're looking at their armies and thinking how easily you could beat up your own clan with that lineup... Well, there's a reason you were matched to them. And it isn't always because the matchmaker is out to screw you.

I've seen GW attackers fail on 9.5, th10 fail on 8.5, th9 fail on super 7.5. I've seen high bases pull no-shows or even desert. Why assume the enemy is competent and coordinated before he has proven it? At least clear a few bases and find out where you stand. Sure, it's sensible to do low bases, and/or use attackers with elixir to burn, before committing any expensive troops. But surrendering to a perfect war against is different from surrendering before the first shot.
