Dragon+wizard for defense. I like all wizard for offense but the dragon is better for D in a central CC, can't lightning it.
Dragon, absolutely. When I'm farming i always test the CC with a barb. Unless there's a ton of loot available, I'll hit next if a dragon pops out. Dont wanna spend the archers to take it down. Just too much trouble. But I haven't encountered a witch on defense yet...
Personally if 30 lvl 6 archers pile out of that CC its more scary for me than a dragon is. This is assuming ALL lvl 6 archers tho. Short of that the dragon takes the cake
I always wonder how a witch, Valkyrie and some wizards would do. Valks chew up tier one troops, witches are a real pain for pekkas, heros, and other heavy hitting units. Wizards just to round it off.
Good to know all the replies! But I have to go with a witch because it has a very long shooting distance so barbs would have to go through walls to get to it! Plus it's minions make the clan castle act as if it had 60 spots!
Hogs or witches are the best defense to put in the CC against the "hog rider" army at the moment.

Amazingly enough my favorite castle troop of all time, the GOBLIN wasnt even mentioned.
They move fast enough to be all over the village in a couple seconds. Their attack is higher than archys and barbs, plus they're cheap for ur clan mates to hand out. They can run circles around hogs.
Of course ur out of luck of air troops come after them.
