I'm a town hall 8 with lvl5 troops I want de to upgrade the king but don't know where to farm de without wasting to much elixir an suggestions (I'm not gonna go around de zapping people's bases)

Well if you aren't going to use lightning spells, your clueless and going to have a hard time.
Giants archers and wizards can usually get you to a de storage, you might want to use wb too.

See that new defensive building
You might have to snipe to get up high enough, but your standard barb/archer/WB at lvl 5 can farm DE quite effectively at 1600+, especially if you maintain 170
Just look for 700+ that is in the outer rim of the base. With some spells you can get as much as 1,500 with a lucky find. You might have to search 20+ times but I easily make 10,000 DE a day with stuff like this.
