    Sergeant Brick Analysis

    Table of Contents:

    1. Summary
    2. Heroes Introduction
    3. Trader Information
    4. Sgt. Brick Introduction
    5. Abilities
    6. Troop Breakdown

    Summary:
Sergeant Brick is the very 1st hero you will encounter within your game and is focused on team play. She works well with many of the first troops you unlock so you can use her well as soon as she is unlocked! Her abilities are also pretty well rounded and work with almost any troop in the game.

    Heroes Introduction:
Heroes launched within Boom Beach on March 20th of 2017. This included Sergeant Brick, Captain Everspark (I’ll go over her at a later time), the Hero Hut, the Trader, Trader Tickets and Hero Tokens. These heroes are only used for offense and unlike other troops are always ready for battle even if they died in the last one and require no currency to heal or revive. As of now they are also unusable on defense and won’t help your defenses defend your base against your opponents who wish to destroy your archipelago. To access your Heroes go to the Hero Hut further right of the Dock. (NOTE: You won’t have access to the Hero Hut until you are HQ level 4 or higher)

    Trader Information:
The Trader is a female who comes to your island once a week and stays for 2 days and 3 hours every time. She will arrive every week with a free Trader Crate and after that you can buy an additional one for 3 Trader Tickets each. These Trader Tickets are earned through Supply Chests Daily Rewards no matter your rank you will always get 1 and this is their only purpose. If Trader Chests don’t have your interest she will always have 3 random offers such as 100,000 Gold for 100,000 Wood. Trader Chests are also the only place where you are able to get Hero Tokens in the game at this time to upgrade your Hero’s abilities through the Hero Hut.

    Sgt. Brick Introduction:

Sgt. Brick is a fearless woman who values teamwork within her army. She is an all-around fighter and has no obvious advantage or disadvantage. She will be unlocked as soon as you repair your Hero Hut which you can do starting at HQ level 4 as stated above. Due to this she is catered toward low level gameplay and is not as complicated much like troops you unlock at that area (Rifleman and Heavys) ,but that doesn’t mean she isn’t just as great at the top of the leaderboards! Her Hero Perk allows her to throw a Grenade at the building each time she locks onto a new building.

    Abilities:
The abilities will be listed here in the order in which they are to be unlocked, Cluster Grenade, Iron Will and finally Battle Orders.

Ability 1: Cluster Grenade, This is her first ability and is most closely related to a mix of the Artillery unlocked from the start of the game and the Barrage from the Gunboat which is unlocked at HQ level 10. Unlike the Barrage all of the extra shots are behind the initial impact damage and unlike Barrage require more Gunboat energy to use the first time. Cluster Grenade will require an additional 3 Gunboat Energy each time it's used.

The statistics for Cluster Grenade are listed below.
Level Hero Level Needed Initial Damage Shapnel
    Damage
Cost (Hero Tokens) Time (h-hours, d-days) Instant (Gems)
    1 1 862 87 N/A N/A N/A

    5 16 4580 458 64 2d 16h 572

Ability 2: Iron Will, Iron Will his her second ability which boosts the defense of all your troops within her circle. This can be extremely helpful when in the middle of a base with plenty of defenses shooting your troops. Each use require 12 more Gunboat Energy starting with 6.

The upgradable statistics for Iron Will are listed below.
Level Hero Level Needed Duration (s-seconds) Cost (Hero Tokens) Time (h- hours, d-days) Instant (Gems)
    1 2 6s N/A N/A N/A
    2 4 7s 8 8h 119

    Non-upgradable statistics for Iron Will.

Damage Reduction Area of Effected Radius
    50% 10 tiles

Ability 3: Battle Orders, Battle Orders is her last ability and is used for extreme offensive gameplay by increasing attack speed as well as damage. This can be a time saver when facing an easy opponent ,but can also serve as a way to push through a certain part of a base faster. Each usage requires an additional 12 Gunboat Energy than the previous use starting with 6. As with Iron Will troops must be within range to receive the affect.

The statistics for Battle Orders are listed below.

Level Hero Level Needed Speed Bonus Damage Bonus Cost (Hero Tokens) Time (h-hours, d-days) Instant (Gems)
    1 3 40% 15% N/A N/A N/A
    2 6 42% 17% 8 8h 119

    Troop Breakdown:

    Rifleman:
This is the first troop which you unlock in the game and is an all around troop much like Sergeant Brick so they work relatively well together. The boosts will always affect them due to their range.
Heavy:This troop is unlocked at HQ 2 and one of the best combinations for Brick along with Zookas due to their close range and decent health.
Zooka: Zookas which are unlocked at HQ 5 right after Brick play an important part for a beginning player with Zooka as your main damage dealing troop.
    Warrior:
Warriors are unlocked at HQ 8 and while there are other troop which work better with Sgt. Brick they aren’t you worst option either. Since they have fast movement speed they can quickly get away from Sgt. Brick’s helping abilities ,but when they are in range can prove quite the threat.
Tank: Tanks unlocked at HQ 11 can be a threat if you have 1-2 Boats full of them ,but more than that and you will leave Sgt. Brick open to fire as Tanks are long ranged units.
Medic: The Medic unlocked at HQ 15 can be good when using Iron Will for even more defensive gameplay ,but won’t do any good if you are using Battle Orders. The classic Medic-Tank strategy is also not viable with Sgt. Brick for the reason mentioned above.
Grenadier: Grenadiers unlocked at HQ 16 are the worst troops you can use with Sgt. Brick. Due to their extended range they will only put Sgt. Brick in enemy fire as well as friendly fire making her boosts useless. Unlike Tanks and Zookas they can’t provide long ranged support due to the possibility of hurting your troops.
    Scorcher:
Scorchers which you unlock at HQ 18 are the best reccomend strategy with Sgt. Brick if you plan to use only one type of troop. They are durable, pack a punch and can cover for Sgt. Brick if you place them down first.
rowman-The big red beast will spread out and wander, they will hit a target and while it is left alive, go even deeper into enemy territory! If Brick is used with Scorchers, be prepared to flare them often to keep them huddled within Brick's ability range.
Cryoneer: Finally the Cryoneer which is the newest troop to the game unlocked at HQ 20. These girls are good on support ,but you will need another troop either Heavys or Scorchers to make them worth having.

Due to the release of Dr. Kavan and me not having Captain Everspark quite yet I'll be doing an analysis on Dr. Kavan before Captain Everpsark. This analysis should be up by the end of June.

I'm glad it could help! How high are you on your other account or is this your first time playing?

Just thought I'd add the link to the actual source for the info.

    http://boombeach.wikia.com/wiki/Sgt._Brick

I'd also add that Bricks actual DPS is much lower than stated, due in part to her spending a lot of time strutting and waving her gun around.
    She also rarely follows flares.

Thank you for giving me that link however I didn't use it on purpose because I used more than the Sgt. Brick page of that wiki and then I felt I'd have to list each page individually so I just linked the main page.

As for the DPS I'm not sure waving her gun around counts in the time, besides the reload of course. For Flares she stays well with the flare and my troops so I'm not sure what's up with that. That might get a bug for some people ,but I'm not sure.

Your "analysis" while very long, is mostly just reposting statistics from the Wiki.
Unfortunately the heroes DPS and perks are bugged. There have been numerous threads on this.

I'm sorry that I can't trim down the size of the tables with the data and I'm not sure why you had to point out analysis in quotation marks. I'm fine if you don't like it or don't see it as helpful, but you don't need to put extra emphasis and say like I barely did anything as it took me quite awhile to make this.

What would you add to this since you feel like this isn't an analysis?

    Nice job!

Regarding Brick with Scorchers: The big red beast will spread out and wander, they will hit a target and while it is left alive, go even deeper into enemy territory! If Brick is used with Scorchers, be prepared to flare them often to keep them huddled within Brick's ability range.

Thank you for that piece of information! I will definitely add this in and give you credit for it. I'm glad you like the guide.
