I think this is a great idea i like the seige tower idea. I think it is a good starting poit for a entirerly new type of barrack. You could include so many other machine based troops. Along with new defenses to defend against these troops specificaly. Though I would assume they would finish the dark barracks first, and then do something like this.

I thought so! (Despite the comparison to the ladder).

A lot of high profile fantasy books / series, deal with the intrusion of technology gradually into their worlds. (Magic vs. Technology is a very common theme).

Seems like this could be a logical next step for CoC. Already, some of the items in game (teslas specifically) play to that storyline.
