What would happen if searching for a base only worked top down? So you could only find a base at or below your trophy count. Would this help higher level cloud issue by preventing t2 players from snagging people at 5500? There would be no more 59 cup offers, or 1 trophy defenses - but you would still see those 30 cup offers for finding someone at your level. Just a thought - curious what others think about a top down system. Would it work? Why or why not?

No one would ever be able to attack number 1. That seems like a pretty broken system. Not to say that individual couldn't be overtaken, but they still have an indefinite shield for as long as they hold the top spot, which could in theory be weeks if they don't lose their own attacks

Yes. I agree. There should be a max number of trophies higher than you that you should ever be offered. Maybe 200, 250, 300. Who knows. But there should be some sort of limit to it. Someone at same cup count as yourself is offered 30. Not sure exactly how many higher it is to get minimum difference but be at 59 offer. Whatever that number is. Is where it should cap at. So if 300 higher is a 59 offer then cap it
I think 500 cups would be a good idea

Trust me, you would find it way more annoying being attacked by someone with 4300 trophies when you're at 5500. This happened to me last week. He 2 starred me 53% and got 36 trophies.. in my opinion that shouldn't be possible.
