attack strategy for newish th8?

ive been at th8 for about a week or 10 days now, primarily im upgarding collectors and lab. all the new buildings are placed and ive nearly got everything on the same level (max for th7). i have no pekka,valk or golem beacuse all of my resouces go into bringing up all the new stuff.
so,
is it better to upgrade troops then get new ones or unlock golem then upgrade?
all my attacks seem to fail, anyone reccomend a new attack strategy?

(current army is about 25 hogs, 10-13 wiz, 2-4 breakers and the rest are barbs)

I like farming with Giants, Barbs, Archers and Goblins. Take max Giants in your clan castle and nothing can stop you

Get your loons, hogs and heroes upgraded. They matter.

Use barch for farming, hitting dead bases with 250k+ loot. Very easy to get upgrades done, as you get lots of profit. Upgrade dragons, balloons, and elixir spells. That will get you off to a good start in war and farming.

Well I would prefer , upgrading the troops u already have and them think about the new ones :
Reasons : 1)as u are not familier with the new troops u can't master their attacks in a single day , it requires practice !

2) also u want to unlock ur golem but , if u see golem costs a lot de to train and also to upgrade , so as u are a new th8 , do not get that troop now ...
3) if u upgrade ur current troop levels that u fell u can use in ur best loot attacking , u can easily get loot to upgrade ur other troops and ur defence quite faster ..... Then in the end u can consider bringing the golem ....

But valks are too good ... U can have them in starting ...

Golem attacks are little hard to master ....I personally Dont like golems at th8...
Bit at higher the , they are really usefull
