How to attack high levels - help needed?

I am struggling to attack high levels, especially if they have inferno towers. I have tried most things. One that works best is wizard with rage and golems/pekkas as meat shield. My wiz are lev5 but golem is only lev1. I have also tried witches lev1 and air attacks (minions -lev4 and balloons - lev6) but am finding it hard to win. I try to strike for and get hall but it's hard!

Some attacking me have done well with hogs (i am upgrading them now) - are they any good in mass attack?

Edit: many suggest balloons and minions - spread these out or bunch and use rage to punch through?

I am at crystal 1, trying for master soon - here's hoping! Any tips would be appreciated!

I consider hogs to be good in a mass attack; keep in mind, however, that they go for defenses first and will likely ignore the resources and the TH.
