    Saws?

I've been keeping a steady supply of saws so far but recently noticed my inventory has been vanishing at alarming rates. I'm high level and play same way as usual - crops, pets, town, derby, etc. But there is so much demand for olives and fruit that it's getting out of control.

Has anyone else noticed a reduced saw drop rate? Could there be some imbalance similar to lack of axes for honey bushes? Any tips on managing the situation? What are your best saw sources?

I feel that keeping a certain minimum amount helps me because they seem to drop more frequently when I have a good number.
Of course it also depends on barn space and size.

A long time ago I set that minimum at 50 saws. Nowadays I'm always hovering between 100-200 saws. Sometimes I dip low around the 100 when I have lots of different trees which need sawing but that ok because I will have several rotations of harvesting before I need saws again.

A few things which can help to manage saws is to buy tree fruits when you find them so it saves a few harvests. Keep production of things that require tree fruits a bit low key and of course buy products which require tree fruits. Of course some are harder to find then others however apple pies are a little easier to find then Apple jam so buy the pie and make the jam for example. Same with other products. I don't look at products and see what they are I see what goes into making them. For example when buying a veggie bagel I buy olive oil or when I buy feta salad I buy 2 goat cheese etc.

    Thank you TerMinus Prime

    What level are you Helen?

The recent updates have added more trees to the game which has put more of a strain on Saw supplies.

Personally I feel as though my drop rates are unchanged.

I'm level 122. Can only guess the drop rates have not changed but demand for saws increased with the new trees. I keep cutting orange ones daily to keep up with all the products.

Of course, whenever I see any fruit in DD I buy it but other than apples and cherries maybe once a week nothing comes up. I used to have 100 saws, in the last 3 weeks I'm down to 60. If it goes like that I'll be out soon.

Already stopped making green smoothies and turning down some townies but can't even stop the bleeding. The inventory still gets lower every day. If it's "you have more - you get more" then I'm in trouble.

i think you are correct Daz. I am level 137 and my saws are in demand more now. I do not think the rate has changed. I do try and keep more saws than axes as that can help although the saws do drop below sometimes. I always buy fruit it if I see it as that helps too. I have hired Tom for saws this year for the first time.

The best sources of saws and axes for me are corning/wheating. I seem to get them more often than BEMs or SEMs so I do that occasionally if I run out of them. Also, this one is obvious but Tom is also great. Once you have enough diamonds, buy Tom and keep a timer on your phone.

I'm glad other people feel there's a saw shortage (a shawtage).

I do all the above balancing tricks usually, and usually have no problems.

    But recently....

Enable diamond confirmation in settings --- but beware: it only works in some places!

Me too. It frustrates me too because it stops me playing how I like to play.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I'm trying to work town more as it seems to produce more saws. Tried planting with 0 success, unfortunately.

Townies are catch-22 though if they ask for products that involve fruit or olives and that's about 50% of assortment these days.
