Hello gentimouton. I've got to be honest, couldn't help but laugh at how precise and ridiculous you are with certain details, which I in no way I am making fun of, just thought was interesting. I do agree with you. In no way is this base perfect, nor I am claiming it to be, I just simply wanted to create something that differed from the rest of the Town Hall 8 farming bases. I do agree that this thread needs to be challenged more.
I have used TTP and Pokeball in the past. Regarding your comment about the TTP, the flaw that i sighted was just simply what I've noticed throughout my defense replays using it, videos of replays, and comments I've gotten from past clan members. Little to no cases were seen where enemies even made it to that center core to even make use of those walls there. I just thought I'd better use those walls in this base. Again, just my opinion.
I am a little confused on what you are trying to express about the Elixir. On the left hand side of the screenshot you say that the elixir is 'too over protected' but in your post you ask whether elixir is important at all? I've replied to other comments stating this same thing and also a problem with a triangular air defense so I'll reply with the same thing to you. The elixir, air defense, and other buildings can easily be swapped around to form a triangular air defense while keeping your elixir somewhat protected. At the time, I was completely out of use of elixir. My lab upgrades were maxed as well as any elixir based upgrades. For the video I decided to keep those storages in because I thought people who weren't as maxed on their elixir like me would copy it. For the majority of the time using my base, I had my elixir storages on those outer, point defense walls.
That comment about the one sided pokeball rush pretty much referred to the gold aswell. Again, I wouldn't really mind attackers coming from that side to steal my elixir as I am getting too much of it anyway.
Regarding the improper T-Junctions, I realize they are there. With the video, I tried to demonstrate that clip where in most cases, wallbreakers would most likely not even make it to that area.
One thing that I haven't thought of that I found interesting was the: 'long streak of no collectors." This interested me. In most cases goblins would directly go after the storages, but wouldn't you agree that as long as the attacker were smart enough to clear the outside buildings they could do that from any side? I just used put those buildings close to each other as a convenience from building my army.
And than comes the criticism that I found just a slightly a bit ridiculous and funny, but I'm glad I am getting feedback at all! Firstly, in no way was I trying to make a "WW2" monument, or any signs of it trying to be done in the video or screenshots. The TTP also has a 'useless wall' and again, no base is perfect, so it is better to have an extra wall than a missing wall. I feel you are being a bit too critical about the "tesla w/o traps." It is clear that traps can obviously be put there, as shown throughout the video. Also, only 3 teslas are available at Town Hall 8 and that 4th, extra empty space is used just for symmetry like in both the TTP and Pokeball which have empty tesla spaces as well. These spaces are just used to give the attacker no clear and easy direction to attack, because each of them look and seem equally defended.
Thank you for your feedback and I hope I answered some questions you had about this base! I have based this response on my opinion and positive feedback I have gotten from others using it. Thank you for taking the time to highlight your issues with it!
