SC responded to me last night and said they don't know how this is possible since there is a 24hr cool down and to clash on! What a joke. They can't be that oblivious, right?

Did you respond back and point out a modding th3 can make a th11 base, can practice with th11 troops, etc. without cooldowns? Stay on top of it Jimati. SC needs information in order to fight back. Good work contacting them don't let up.

How many times have you attacked in war and though if you had just one more chance at it the results would've been better? Now imagine having 100 chances at it. That is what the cheaters do and they get their inflated war stars and clan perks and war logs. I hope they all get reset back to 0 some day.

Literally 100s of times for myself and my clanmates where 1 hog at the end or 1 wizard cleaning up the trash ring would have impacted the result significantly.

Me too, pretty much every war. I just 70% 2 starred #1 in our last war and I know I would 3 star it with enough practice. Even 2-3 practices might have been enough. With all day long to practice as many times as I wanted? 3 stars easy.

Everyone understand that 24 hour cool down doesn't apply? No friendly challenge ever even issued.

If you create a new base and immediately set it as your active home base, your clan mates can immediately visit your home base and see your pretty new base, right?

Well, with mod software, clicking "visit" allows you to attack.

Maybe sc just needs to make the 24 hour cool down apply to home base viewing as well. Easy fix?

Yeah I would seriously doubt they are playing dumb...chances are the automated system just responded and someone filled in the blanks.

For those in the thread unsure of this adapted form of cheating: yes, it is possible.

Basically they use burner clans to build the th11 bases as their home base. They then use a burner on a separate device to mod that home base.

Hopefully SC finds a way to shut this down soon too.

It's against the forum rules to explain how cheating works. For example, I was not aware of this practice until I saw it here. Like me, many forumers had no idea of this cheating method and we certainly can't do anything about it. What can happen though is people looking up how this method works and start doing it themself since they are now aware. I know the intent is a noble one but the outcome is most likely a bad one.

As a leader, I do like to read about issues not involving fair play so I know what to look for. Since I'm into fair play, I had no idea about other software until I read about it here. I will kick and/or report now.

I can certainly understand your concerns, but by becoming aware of this pactice there is something that can be done about it. The forum is all about social engineering and the impact it has on the community.
What concerns me now is that it can turn into a witch hunt. Everybody who leaves the clan now during the 2 day war period will now be a target. When I first started coc, I thought it unfair to see my opponents leave during war and return then get smashed. I suggested to my clanmates back then that there should be a cooldown for just those players that practiced that technique.

Which rule would it come under? I have to agree, it's not ideal with people possibly considering it here. But by explaining we can be more aware against it too... I have just rechecked the rules and can't tell which one it directly comes under.
