TH9, 3000 trophies (with video), what is your highest th9 trophy count

sounds good boss. It's gonna be a slower process for as only one other guy including myself has max golems so I might have to cook the 2 golems myself and request more archers.

Depending on the base you attack, lv4 golems work fine. I hate using archers in the cc as they clump in an easy to destroy line. Be careful where you put your cc, or maybe ask for wiz, they are easier to use in the cc. But again, be careful where you use it (away from def, and near a nice cluster of buildings to get your money's worth).

But I also wonder about trophy hunting in a clan without many golem donations ... maybe not the best idea.

A few close to maxed out th 9s in my clan got to low 2800s during last trophy push without gems. The addition of the witch made it an even bigger nuisance. I think its possible to reach master 1 without gems by being really active and storing a ton of de but getting to champion is a stretch.

No offence, but if you are gemming troops, you can take th8 to 3000. Th9 offence wise isn't much different form th10, so while i applaud your efforts, i personally do not find this as a hard challenge. Try to take th9 to 3000 w/o gemmin troops. Possible but would actually take an effort. IMHO

Thank you for sharing your strategies and videos with use. I had very good luck with the Goldstar army, and took it to 2651 cups during our trophy push as a TH 9. I was wondering if you could share the base design that your friend is using, please?

Have you tried this? I would be interested in other peoples experience (with or without gems). Attacking maxed th10 bases with th9 troops/spells is not a given win just because you use gems (this is a common misconception among people that have never been to 3000, but feel free to disagree with me, i like a good debate!!). Many people that use witches cannot break 3000, IMHO.

Is it possible to hit 3000 with a th9 and no gems ... probably, but it is not easy ... it isn't even easy with gems lol.

very true. ill stick to 160/60 ratio I been doing and just play by ear when I get up there.

Hey Jeff! I have tried it and nearly reached 2800 during our recent clan's push. I am currently back to farming for a month to upgrade xbows and infernos. I am a brand new th10, so Def-wise, other than two lvl1 infernos and lvl 6 teslas, I am maxed th9. Off-wise, all my troops and spells are maxed th9.

The only reason I've been perhaps bit too critical of the gem usage in this particular instance is because it takes away skill's significance. I absolutely agree that people often take usage of gems as pivotal in reaching Master-Champion league, but it is far from being true. However, usage of gems most definitely provides an advantage in maintaining higher count of trophies in comparison to trophies obtained "naturally".

It's not easy getting to 3000-4000 with or without using gems, but most certanly it is MUCH harder reaching those highs gem-free. You simply do not have the buffer of making back lost trophies in a matter of minutes by gemming troops. Gem-free trophy losses are most painful as you have to wait 20min to 2-3 hours to build troops, find bases to attack and win enough to cover losses. Thus you have to be extremely careful and very thoughtful when attacking.
