    🐉Lavadoom🐉

    � An anti-air war base for TH9 and TH9.5 �

    1. Layout images:

    Note: The images attached contain TH9 without bomb-tower, with an extra gold and elixir pump and new traps at TH10.

    Base with everything:

    2. Aim:
    This base aims at defending air attacks such as quad lavaloon, Queen walk + lavaloon, GoLaLoon, etc. In general, any attack with at least 1 hound and 10 loons.

    3. Segments explained:



    Lets assume the attacker has a kill squad of either:
    - a) Queen walk : leaves about 16 loons for air.
    - b) Golem + bowlers : leaves about 15 loons for air.
    - c) Golem + queen walk : leaves about 12 loons for air.

    The attack is broke down in 2 parts:
    a) Kill Squad
    b) Air

    Now lets refer to the image:
    (Many logical assumptions have been made)

    PART 1: Kill squad.
    - The yellow circle shows the probable spawning of golem kill squad and the area of damage dealt.
    - The red circle shows the most beneficial queen walk path, as it covers the only possible air defence which comes in queens range (on whole layout).
    - The blue lines and area show areas of balloon spawn remaining after kill squad

    The bait here is the offering of 2 air defences and queen (and chance of 3rd air defence).
    By logical pathing, it is easy to see that both queen walk and kill squad will die upon reaching (mostly before) blue circle at middle.
    No other spawn position of kill squad makes any sense.

    Where the attacker loses his game:
    Attacker assumes he will get third air defence, by scout view it seems simple,
    Although, triple tesla at core and loads of point defences plus king and cc troops protect third air defence.
    This is the attackers mistake.

    PART 2: Air.
    Now lets assume best case scenario for attacker, which is he has destroyed 2 air defences, queen, cc troops, and defences from 8 o'clock to 2 o'clock. (Although this amount of success is rare)
    This leaves the remaining state of base:



    Yellow circles indicate: Balloon spawns
    Grey circles indicate: Lava spawns
    White circles indicate: Places where loons are exposed to heavy damage (RIP loons).
    Blue dots mark air bombs.

    Extreme left white area has 3 air skeletons and an air bomb plus 2 wizard towers to kill loons. Note that there is no way for kill squad to get here.

    Middle white area is the lavahounds final destination, where it will be easily killed by double air mine and air defences. After which xbow + point defences + nested wizard tower make it easy to kill loons.

    This covers any hybrid attack. Now moving on to quad/penta lavaloon

    Penta/Quad lavaloon:



    A2, A3 & A4 mark the areas of initial lavahound spawn,
    Notice that after destroying any of these air defences, hounds will lead to A1,
    A1: Central air defence + triple tesla + queen + mines + xbow
    This is easily a guaranteed death of any amounts of hounds. considering loons will also be way behind as defences are spread out.

    Lets say that a lava hound somehow survives A2/3/4, it has to die when it gets to A1. This pretty easily stops a lavaloon

    DragLaLo:

    The purple lines show dragon path, in two air defences covered by sweeper, dragons will never reach air defence as the sweeper pishes it away from air defnece and closer to surrounding high HP buildings.
    This has also been tested out.

    The only air defence to which dragons can reach is the top one marked in red, but as already explained in 'Segments explained: PART 1: Kill squad', I have told how this air defence is used as bait for attacker, and why getting to it is easy.

    Also, dragons take more than 45 seconds to get to an air defence (due to vast length between air defence and spawn area), in this time any lavahounds dropped will be killed already by air defence, air mine and cc.

    Lets say they don't get killed somehow, the base is so spread out, that with the two minutes remaining, it is impossible to complete a 3 star in time, although this scenario can never be tested with DragLaLo army, as it is too weak to even get 3 air defences in the base, pretty strayed from a 3 star.

    Extra features of base:
    Spawning are is very far from defences. Whole tile area is used.

    On first glance, this base appears like it's screaming for Queen charge.

    edit: even hghb/hphb or brute force will wreck this. wide open cores aren't too great for a reason.

    edit 2: the tfarm isn't looking very rosy right next to the air defense. one of your WTs too

    So what? QC + Backend LaLo wrecks it. Even DragLaLo will 3 star it.

    it is a great base, and will certainly defend a few hits in wars; just pointing out the flaws I've seen.

    Maybe what you say is right. War log says differently though, I have encountered QC + Laval at least three or four times (log above) even with respectable heroes and level 3 hounds (log above)

    Please also check the new DragLaLo segment in 'Segments expalined' section

    Yeah sure, it's definitely a great base.

    Tbh, in CWL level wars,a base at TH9 tanking ONE hit is a big thing.
