Accidents do happen, and over a couple years of playing the game it isn't unreasonable that eventually it happens to "careful minded individuals".

Its a good suggestion, it could have an alternate warning, like "hey bro your the leader, player xyz is about to steer the ship".

It wouldn't be hard to do and would have saved sc many many hours of replying to support emails.

I think this is the easiest to implement but still not 100% necessary.
but heck, it warns you when your leaving the clan, why not just throw one more line on the bottom of the warning about you been leader.. or even a generic message that says check that you are not leader... that way people that are not leader can't forget their place haha

Any Co-Leader should be trustworthy enough to pass the clan to. Why would anyone promote a co-leader that isnt?

Even the most loyal co can become greedy if he gets leadership of a high lvl clan.

Hardcore war clans with excellent set of core members that know how to win even the toughest wars

We do this on a reasonably regular basis, particularly as a number of us promote our minis from time to time for management tasks, co go on extended deployments without internet and we visit allied clans.

It uses the current succession mechanism and is no different to nominating a successor, however is also allows the successor to have a successor without needing to nominate one upon taking the reins.

Far more effective, simple clan housekeeping and SC doesn't need to change anything

Too many of us leave the clan for various reasons for the demote/promote solution to work. We visit, we do wars in other clans. We are pretty an@l, but not even we are enough to demote & promote for that reason.

There should be polls in clan if leader is inactive for many months or leader leaves clan Bymistake

.. so, you want SuperCell to implement another tool that you will not use to solve a problem that you yourself can fix in at least 2 different ways within the current mechanics?

Calm down and promote a successor before you press the "leave" button .. it's not that hard.
