Because brackets were drawn randomly so there was no unfair advantage. They were the lucky clan to draw the bye. Clan strength had nothing to do with it.

Yes, we are going by what is listed on the stats page.
I have been told this is the average of the best attacks.
Would make sense though, since average destruction is calculated based on the best attacks as well.
Edited: just calculated this myself. To me it seems that the average duration is based on ALL attacks, not only the best attacks per base. However, no guarantees, and I advise you to base your strategy on whatever you think is the best!
