That's because you don't have a clan full of engineers.
It is usually easy when we match non-engineering clans. But we get mismatches too. Sometimes we even get a mismatch where the enemy clan is engineered too with higher defenses and offenses than us. Feel free to visit my clan and check out the last 3 wars we had. We were outmatched in every single one of them. The last war was against a regular clan and they had a huge defensive weight advantage on us (81 vs 73 on #1 position, then 74 vs 70 on #2 position). The war before that we were matched against an engineered clan that was rocking some engineered th11s vs our th9.5 on top. Current war is against an engineered clan and they again have both offensive and defensive advantage.
When the matchmaker finds a decent match and one against a non-engineered clan, then engineered clans do have an advantage. However that is rarely the case lately. In fact I think the matchmaker is in such a bad shape right now that it is just spewing out random mismatches for everyone.
0 infernos = 2 infernos, therefore 0 = 2
2 wardens = 5 wardens, therefore 2 = 5
Conclusion: 0 = 5

O true im not denying that fact as I know sc made changes to war mm but u gotta admit, before the advantages engineering clans had were ridiculous. Now u have chance of being outengineered which should have been done in first place.
I think they actually did something recently that messed up the matchmaker for everyone. I have seen some really nasty mismatches posted in the past few weeks, and we are experiencing too. In my opinion engineers and non-engineers are both getting bad matchups lately.
You know I was always against engineering - and I still am -, I am just reporting what the situation is right now from my perspective.

Aaa ic. I just warred recently n still having np with war mm as I am satisfied with it still. Sorry to hear about ur plight. Whether u r for or against engineering is of no concern to me (no offense). I understand y its done n not done as long as ridiculous claims dont follow. Game is meant to b fun n although I take it semi seriously I understand it is just a game. Its not life or death situation for any of us hence y I dont get emotional bout it (although I do emo rage at times when I fail lol) logical players like urself r good for the game imo n I respect the extra effort some r willing to make to understand the game fully. Its just those who r blind n make foolish claims or have unrealistic views of grandeur I have problems with.
The fam clans last match. The red line at the top of the log was a pretty rough go. They had 6 bases with infernos vs our 3. The weight disparity in slots #4 #5 and #6 was pretty big. I can't really complain though. We had enough offense to deal with it, but It just happened to be a bad war for me on multiple accounts....
