Really? Engineered clans adhere to the most strict formula of rules and guidelines that dictates the way they have to play. It's funny how engineers use the argument of playing the way they want to when the way is laid out for them step by step. Well engineered clans is not a team, it is a dictatorship and probably why a lot if not most of the engineered clans has players with lots of accounts because it is not always so easy to get others to do what they want them to.....

You should make that war idea in the suggestion board. I though about something similar based on FFXIV's dungeon raids that I wanted to suggest also.
Ehh, I'm not so sure that's right.

I still believe that all that is required is to minimize bully attacks at/near the top of the war map. Once that happens, I think the main complaints significantly decrease.

If, however, you want to argue that engineers should be allowed to bully in said manner, that is likely going to be met with a lot of resistance, to say nothing about the fact that, yes, that might very well be unfair

So if you get matched to someone with less defence then you, same offensive level troops, but maxed heroes to your (for example) lower level heroes, is that matchup fair or is the other person a bully because of the higher level heroes?

In my mind, the most pressing examples of bullying is where a clan has a TH +1 (or better) attacking advantage vs. the enemy clan, generally in the form of a higher TH at/near the top. For example, if a clan has a TH9 at the top and the enemy has a TH10 that has army camp/spell/troops/whatever to significantly make a 3* attack easier, that might make me raise an eyebrow.

Another example might be a defenseless TH that has the same attacking advantage, wherever it is on the war map.

I believe that if the top/near the top of the war map can ~easily be 3* by a clan, especially in smaller wars, that's got some teeth to it to complain. Often, in these types of wars, the top (at or near) is where the wars are won.

I'm far less sympathetic to hero differences or other things like that, as long as the TH are the same, as the MM seems to balance that out fairly well.

War matchmaking is not always going to match TH to TH. The only way you're going to get that is in arranged wars. Yes, having a TH10 up top matched up to a TH11 then your TH8 below matched up to a TH6, is going to make the war somewhat more challenging. Those wars are still winnable. I've seen some TH11s totally destroy our TH10s and I've seen some totally ♥♥♥♥ out.

Tough matches should not have people crying foul, they should be making people work harder to improve their heroes and 3 star attack strategies.

Wow, people who dislike engineering but refuse to even adapt a little really come across sounding like your basic trump voter. Even the one a few posts back just starts thecomment with "WRONG"

Why blame sc for claiming they are getting the money. It's part of the game and it's not cheating it's a play style. Just like how people push, farm, war, engineer or some just have a balanced approach. A lot were upset when the townhall snipe was removed because it "killed farming" and said that it was killing their play style so how is this any different? You want to take their play style away just because every 5-6 wars you get paired up with a engineering clan doesn't mean you have to remove it. Each way of playing has strengths and weaknesses and with those come challenges and if you choose your play style then when you are up against another it's up to you to stand up and face the challenge.

If you are getting 80+% of your wars been fine and fun without engineering I would be pretty happy man I know it sucks sometimes but hey it's part of the game and we need to stop thinking of ourselves all the time and think about how other people enjoy the game and that not every decision made by the dev team is for a bit of cash money.

Rumour has it that sc takes bribes from engineers round the back of the bike sheds. If you're lucky you might even get a pash.

But the reality is that that is an oversimplication of how war works. The mistake I believe SC made was in over valuing defenses to the point of making a high defense base a HUGE liability. It became clear that in order to have high success in war and the stupid ridiculous 100 plus win streaks was to not play against the opposing clan but to manipulate the flawed alogorithm..... equal war is pretty much nonexistent, but ideally war should be that any side could conceivably win. Engineered clans created an environment where the other clan had no chance at winning.
Is a maxed TH11 clan going to be disadvantaged coming up against an engineered clan? If you read the vast majority of these "fixes" that's the sort of matches you will get.

I have been tracking our wars since October, we have been out-matched in clan wars defensively and sometimes offensively and we still maintain over a 90% win ratio because the vast majority of the people we have encountered with maxed TH11 offence can't 3 star our TH10s and 10.5s (no joke we have been matched with at least 1-2 TH11 offence since October and my TH10 has only been 3 starred once).

Offence is weighted lower because attacking skills aren't that great to begin with when you look at the general clash populace. Let's drop the "forum standards and assumptions" that THX will always 3 star THX-1. The requirements of getting a good offence is also considerably higher than getting maxed defences.

How many times have you seen a TH9 with maxed defences and only heroes in their 10s to early teens?

That's no coincidence it's because it's infinitely easier to max defences and google a warbase and know the majority of the times you won't be 3 starred, because offence takes longer to develop and takes more time to practice and perfect than it does the 10 minutes to copy a base.

Case in point my TH10 is maxing it's third wiz tower and I have done 2 multiplayer raids since the update gave TH10s level 9 wiz towers. Pretty sure if the update gave TH10s new hero levels I wouldn't be adding to their levels on the same activity levels.
