    Australia - recruiting team-players 🇦🇺🐎🏆

Our neighbourhood, Australia (Tag: #VP8UQ9U), is looking to recruit 1-9 team-players who are either Derbiers or sociable (you don't have to be both).

We have a fantastic hood which is well established, successful and drama free; however, we have a lot of members with a lot going on and the hood is getting quieter each day. We are after new members to add to the spark of our hood.

Whilst we're a champion hood (we currently have 136 gold trophies, 51 silver and 17 bronze) we appreciate that life is more important. This means for those weeks where you want to play competitively: opt in, for those weeks you don't: opt out. It's up to you.

    Our details and requirements:

    Age: Adults only.

Chat: Team mates don't need to be big social chatters, but we do require courtesy (please and thank you) and for members to be responsive to game related matters. If you do love to chat, that's great.

Derby competitiveness: Whilst we are competitive in the derby, we also have a stress free and fun neighbourhood.

Derby league: Champions League. We have been in the top league since derby leagues were introduced.

    Derby log: Shared.

Derby - number of tasks: To remain competitive in the champions league, all opted-in players are required to do all (10) tasks. Team-mates who feel they can't do all tasks in a week are still welcome in our hood, but should opt out of Derby.

Derby opt-in average size: On average we have 5 players opted in to Derby (we currently have 22 members in total). This small size has lots of benefits, as it means: tasks are easier to get; we normally finish quickly (which means we have more time to do other things); it's easier to communicate; and there is enough players that the board is regularly being trashed. We still also win most derbies.

Diamonds: Apart from the additional derby task, I never expect a member to use diamonds or to spend real money on diamonds. It's your money and diamonds and it's up to you how to use them.

Do NOT join: We won't tolerate players who use automation software, bots, hacks or mods and we will report you. We win by merit and not by cheating and taking advantage of others.

    Emblem: Blue heart, red horse.

Member levels: Our levels range from 77 to 185. Our reputation (town) levels range from 15 to 58.

Messaging apps: We have a facebook messenger group which we use on the rare occasion (mostly for blossom derbies), but it is not mandatory to join.

Team players: Players who are an asset to a hood will fit right in, players who are a detriment (cause drama, mean-spirited, frequently want help but rarely return it, use hacks, or who will leave mid-derby when you're opted in) will not. Our team love to help each other. We are looking for farmers to join us, who are also team-players (including giving as much help as received).

Where we live: We're mostly Aussies (but you don't have to be). We also have two team mates in the USA and one in South Africa. We have team mates on at all hours and there is pretty much always someone on trashing unwanted Derby tasks.

Questions? Please feel free to private message (PM) me.

Ready to give us a try? Our tag for the neighbourhood search is: #VP8UQ9U

B... is for beach. Australia has 10,685 beaches! If you were to visit a new beach every day it would take you 29 years to see them all.

U... is for Uluru. Uluru is a sandstone rock formation kinda located in the centre of Australia.

Uluru is approximately 600 million years old. It is 348 metres above sea level (which is 24 metres higher than the Eiffel tower). Most of its bulk however is underground (almost 2.5 km!).

M... is for Multicultural. Australia is one of the most multicultural countries in the world. 1 in 4 Australians were born overseas and 1 in 2 Australians have a parent who was born overseas. There are over 200 languages spoken in Australia.

P... is for platypus. The platypus is a semiaquatic egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia. It has a duck like bill and webbed feet, a beaver like tail, and a otter like body and fur. The platypus also has electroreception!

Goose bumps could help stop cancer, treat burns and even cure baldness!

Australia released it's first raised bump bank note on the 1 September 2016.

The tactile feature was developed in consultation with the vision-impaired community. The bump is not Braille. Each denomination will have a different number of raised bumps.
