In the bottom right fishing spot, with a red worm lure, you can catch the Red-Tailed Catfilsh, the only event fish that will bite on a free worm lure. Look for a small circle that collapses slowly inward. You will have to drop and release MANY times, but eventually you will see that small circle, and that's the Red-Tailed Catfish.

Thsi fish takes the most patience to catch, I usually have to drop and release 20 times before I get one. But he's worth it -- about 12 lbs on average

I dedicate about 25 green and 5 blue vouchers to this event, and no more. I make sure I only catch event fish with those, and have only been fooled 3 times by that stupid Rudd and once by the puny Lake Trout.

Catching 8 event fish per trip through the fishing area allowed me to catch 366 lbs of fish in 14 hours - - a personal record fast finish for me.

Also - I dedicate 4 fields to a fishing timer and plant crops that relate to the recharge times if the fishing spots: indigo, pumpkin, cotton, and chile. Then I can see at a glance if any spots are ready to fish again, and if they are not, how much time until they will be ready.

I used to feel exactly the same way, until I discovered the strategy behind catching those 10+'lb whoppers. I love it now & im done with 400+lbs

You are far more organised than I am... very good idea and I may adjust my fishing for it.

I do use 1 crop field of indigo near my farm house when I hire Tom, so it should work for me.

I loath fishing as well, currently at 193lb and have deeds, saws, bolts and mallets so far. Will keep going once I have more lures made as I want that gingerbread house. Disappointed that no other decorations in prizes.....

Finished all my global goals already, in fact did about 6 hours ago.

    3 Saws
    3 Shovels
    3 Gold Vouchers
    4 Land Deeds :|
    5 Tapes!

Overall pretty happy with my rewards as 4 of the 5 are useful to me. Getting 5 barn tools at the last one was great.

Managed to get one more gold weight fish to my collection, the Carp.

Still chasing gold weight on Lake Sturgeon & Giant Barb.

So only using Blue & Purple vouchers now, saving the others.
