Sometimes war is a blow out it the first couple hours. How about an option for either side to surrender as a loss. So war match ups can begin again rather than waiting for the full battle day to end?
Even if SC implemented a surrender option they would be likely to not allow another war to start until the war that was surrendered would have ended to avoid clans being able to gain XP any faster.
