The origin of the Margarita recipe is fiercely debated, but we think it's got Mexico written all over it. With tequila, triple sec and fresh lime it's tart, zingy and satisfying. Equipment
A shaker
A strainer
A sieve
♥♥♥♥tail glass
Ingredients
1 part Cazadores Tequila
part triple sec liqueur
part lime juice
1 lime wedge
Salt
Cubed ice
How to mix
Chill your glass (the easiest way is to fill it with ice)
Put lots of ice and all of the ingredients into a shaker, then shake hard for about 30 seconds to chill the liquid really well
Run a lime wedge around the outside of the rim of your glass before rolling the rim in salt
Fill ♥♥♥♥tail shaker with fresh ice cubes. Add about 1/2 ounce each dry and sweet vermouth. Shake enough to coat ice and pour off liquid. Add eight ounces gin to coated ice in shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into four chilled Martini glasses, garnish with pimiento-stuffed olive and serve.
It's like gambling somehow. You go out for a night of drinking and you don't know where you're going to end up the next day. It could work out good or it could be disastrous. It's like the throw of the dice. -Jim Morrison
